Not a bad result I'm sure you'll agree! Big thanks to Allan who spent most of Sunday turning it from a clarty, fly spattered monstrosity to this...
Just have to try and keep it that way now!
:rasp: Oops! No, I'm not planning on turning my 182 into a cab any time soon!
Cheers for the answer though.. I'll post some picks up once they're done.
How difficult is it to remove and replace the A pillars?
I had a read of your thread on trimming them.. useful stuff! If getting them of and back on again is straightforward enough, I'll give it a go myself.
Hi Fin,
I'm looking for a new exhaust for my 182 and am very interested in yours. I'm based in Edinburgh so getting down to you would be tricky.
Are you at a stage where you can deliver completed exhausts yet?
That BTB looks nice but is pick up only in Gloucester and I'm in Edinburgh unfortunately.
I'll get in touch with the guy on the fabrication thread to see what's happening there.
Right, last week some eejit drove into the back of me at a junction. Not much damage but my exhaust needs replacing as it's bent out of shape and now creaks every time I go over a bump.
The insurance are replacing it with a brand new standard system. This will be getting sold and I'll take...
Wheel weight as in the wee balancing weights?
Tyre pressures are at what everyone seems to recommend - 32 front 30 rear. The front of the car just feels really light and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of feedback through the wheel.
Wheels are standard 182 wheels. edited to add (cup...
Just wondered what everyone elses experiences of the 182's high speed handling is?
The front end on mine feels really vague at motorway speeds, very light and is quite disconcerting.
I've been used to rwd before, do you think that's all it is?
Also I've just put new rear tyres on & swapped...
The guide I followed is on here, search for strut top washer and it should come up.
All I did was use a 20mm socket (like what you'd use for spark plugs) to loosen the bolt that sits on top of the rubber lugs that sit on the strut tops.
Lift these off and pop the washer underneath. This...
Arrived from Yozzasport yesterday.. 5 min job and no more creaking on full lock! Woohoo!
Still getting squeeks from suspension over low speed bumps though so looking like the bushes need doing too.
Getting GSD3's fitted tomorrow at National Tyres. £90 each fitted, which is £5 per tyre more than Blackcircles but they can't get them fitted until next week. I've already been chancing it leaving them this long... right down to the wear bars!
Will post in a week or so what my thoughts of them are.
So change all 4 at once you reckon?
Will prob stick with the PE2's for now then and switch to something else when the rears need changing. Can't really go an extra £160 for something that doesn't really need doing.
Cheers for the advice though!
Hi guys,
My front tyres are now on the wear bars so need replace pronto!
I have PE2's all round at the minute but fancy trying the F1's out. What's everyone's opinion on using different tyres front & rear (the PE2's on the back have loads of life left in them and I don't really want to waste...
