I wondered what the point of putting your home address in it was (other than to let anyone who pinched it know where you lived) which is why I skipped that part of the set up! :rasp:
Go 520 Music Edition. Have to say i'm very impressed. Got it from Comet for £179.00 & came with a £10 itunes voucher so £169 really.
Only complaint is the bluetooth didn't work on the first one but they swapped it no bother and the second one works fine.
Dead easy to use (better imo than BMW...
Exactly right. Modern engines don't need to be molly coddled because, as you say, the manufacturing tollerances are tiny nowadays. The idea of bits of metal floating about is ridiculous. Moving parts loosen up over time, sure, but the days of pistons fitting properly once they'd been forced to...
Recently whilst driving on a (closed airfield, naturally) anytime I went much over 100mph, I started getting a really irritating screetching noise from my air vents.
Anyone had a similar problem? Whilst on a private road/race track/autobahn of course ;)
wouldn't waste your money. I used to sell these for BMW. Noticed no difference whatsoever between cars coming in 3 years down the line that had been Supagarded and ones that hadn't.
It's just another revnue stream for the dealer. Quite often they make more margin from these and GAP etc than...
Getting mine done at Falkland Performance for £100 +VAT 3 Year old car, no need for Renault stamps imo.
Falkland's techs are probably streets ahead of Renault anyway from what I've seen of their setup in Edinburgh.
Cheers for the tips guys, will get the new centre ordered from renault. Are there any franchises out there that aren't Arnold Shark?
Had some work done at Seafield before on a golf and wasn't hugely impressed so I'll give the guys in Glasgow a call.
Not sure about a carbon bonnet.. really want...
cheers on the wheel centre! Will keep asking about re the body shop. Last one I went to was useless - overspray, interior stank of paint for months, paint dust everywhere, wasn't cheap either.
Any recommendations gratefully received!
Not driven the RS4 but have driven the M5 Touring. What a car it is.. absolutely phenomenal. It actually feels more like your playing Gran Turismo at times though. Watching the speed rise on the head up display just doesn't seem real. The noise it makes when you downshift is hilarious.. Never...
After a long wait, finally go the car home yesterday. Horrendous 10 hour drive to bring it back but got here in the end!
Anyway, reason for the post is I need the bonnet resprayed (black gold) and also one of the wheel centres needs paint too.
Does anyone know anywhere good (and preferably...
OUCH that was sore! Quoted £699 online... just paid £954 to pay monthly.. Bandits, at least if I pay it early I get a rebate so it will be closer to the £699 overall. Still, even at nearly a grand they work out a fair bit cheaper than everyone else.
Ali, hopefully picking up my new 182 this weekend.. would definately be interested in getting someone to give it a good clean, look at swirl marks etc.
Would you be able to do this? How much would you charge?
Hey guys,
Car is Black Gold, all being well will pick it up next weekend.
Looking forward to it, haven't had a car for a month or two now so will be good to ditch the taxis and buses!
Cheers fella,
Tuning wise fairly basic stuff I reckon, probably exhaust, filter, remap.. nothing too major due to being 26 and having 6 points!
Also somewhere that can do the servicing too. Not going anywhere near Arnies with it either!
Weekend would be good, wont be getting it till next...
Hey guys,
About to pick up a nice 54 plate Clio 182 after a good 2 months of searching.
Foundout about this site via pistonheads and thought i'd find out if there's any tuning specialists based near Edinburgh/east of scotland?
Any tips much appreciated
