thanks! i just got some the other day, haha
i got my snappy steering wheel today and i must say it is absolutely excellent quality and also looks and feels great. i will hopefully get it put on tomorrow
today i got the new bumper fitted and gave the car a clean and a quick polish. i really need to get the time to give the car a full detail. the clio is looking good again :D i also removed the acoustic valve and the charcoal canister and solenoid
with a google search the top part number brings up this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK4-BORA-CLUTCH-PEDAL-MASTER-CYLINDER-SWITCH-COMPLETE-1J2721319C-/281141911888
so i don't think it has anything to do with your clio lol
a one way valve maybe a good idea, thanks
if you get the drivers side front wheel arch liner off you will see the charcoal canister, also if you take the front bumper off you can access it pretty easy too.
i didn't mean it in that way, i meant that over time fuel will be evaporating away in to the atmosphere meaning you have also lost fuel (a very small amount i know)
is there really any particular reason why i can't just block the fuel pipe off?
thanks
ah right, it's just that one of the threads i read people were having a massive debate on why you should block the tank pipe off. the main reason why people were saying to block it is because it is venting fumes into the engine bay and also because it's venting the fumes directly into the...
thanks for your help
i thought the pipe was just a petrol fume return from the engine? from what i read if i block the pipe the other tank breathers are more than good enough for the job (fuel cap breather)
thanks
i have decided to just get the bumper sprayed for now and do a full detail and touch up on the car when i have the time (hopefully sunday). i dropped the bumper off at a local spray shop earlier today and maybe done for the weekend, if it is then i will probably also fit it sunday along with...
hi, so my charcoal canister solenoid has been clicking away now for a while and i will be taking my bumper off soon to fit a re-sprayed bumper so i wouldn't mind removing the solenoid and possibly the canister too. what is the way to remove the solenoid? there is so many different ways that...
that's mine, at the minute though the front bumper has a split in it and part of the splitter is missing due to hitting a rabbit at speed, this will be getting fixed in the next few months
thanks
I've got another bumper now, i picked it up the other day. it's in black gold but needs respraying so i will be getting it done and my bonnet at the same time when i can afford it. nothing else to really update on other than the car is pretty filthy, haha.
that's what i thought straight after i fitted mine, sounds so damn good but it drones like mad when just driving like normal. it's almost unbearable doing a long 70/80MPH run. i'm just going to leave it though because the noise is epic when you can hear it popping down the rev range!
i was thinking of putting a thread up and asking but i am just going to leave it, the bumper had the headlight washers blanked out too and the guy was really quite rude on the phone, he started swearing whilst talking about 30 seconds into the conversation. i imagine he will probably be no...

the one you have ordered i think is the right one it's just the picture is wrong as the part number you've ordered is bosch H301 and if you google that it looks like the clio rear wiper
can you pin point an approx location the noise is coming from? aux belt area? gearbox area?
if it's aux belt area, i'd get the aux belt off and spin all the pulleys and check the bearings for any play, if you can't find anything wrong with any of them, try starting the engine with the aux belt...
sounds like an exhaust bearing might be on it's way
in all seriousness though you haven't really given us any clue to what noise your getting or a link to the video
i got the de-cat fitted the other day it is quite abit louder now (resonates like mad 2k-4k RPM) which i'm not sure it i like it or not yet, i know my neighbours probably don't. i need to go around a few places and get some prices for repairing my bumper and respraying my bonnet and bumper then...
