i know then engine management light doesn't effect the running of the car (if the lambda sensors have picked up a cat efficiency problem) but ideally i don't want the management light on at all unless there is another fault which putting a blank in my post cat lambda sensor, as far as i...
thanks, i am wanting it too look pretty much like you would never tell it was broken really.
i'll go around some body shops when i get time and get some prices for repairing and doing my bumper and bonnet. if the repair is going to cost alot then i may aswell get a second hand bumper and have...
if the sensor was left unplugged i'm pretty sure the management light would come straight on with faults for the lambda sensor being open circuit. basically i'm just wanting to keep my management light off.
i don't want to fit a mini cat when i can just put a £2 bolt into the hole and tuck the...
just to add, the bumper has all been snapped in the sections shown above but it can be all pulled back together and all you can see is little tiny cracks where it has all broken, so i'm guessing if the bumper got reinforced at the back of the cracks with something along the lines of fibre glass...
brilliant, thanks
there's not really alot of info about doing it so i was unsure when i saw it on a thread on here but then after a bit of thinking it sounded like a good idea.
as i said in the title, sorry if this has been asked before but a quick search couldn't find anything. if i leave the post cat lambda sensor out and put a bolt where the lambda sensor should go, would that stop the management light coming on? (unless there is a fault with the sensor of course)...
hi all, i hit a bunny the other night and it did some nice damage to my bumper and snapped my splitter, i already have another splitter on its way to me but i was wondering what you guys think about the damage? is it worth me paying for t to be repaired (if it can be) or getting another bumper...
i've decided to leave the bumper, he lives too far away and it's a bit of a risk, i may start looking at possibly getting mine fixed and having a bumper and bonnet respray so the front end looks spot on.
if it is only an inch and there isn't grease everywhere i'd just leave it knowing that i can fix it in a weeks time if it was mine. or if you want you could just try and seal it to stop it making a mess.
EDIT: saying that you don't want grease all over your belt, i'd personally try and seal it...
so, i've just been talking to a guy that has a black gold bumper on ebay that has been resprayed not too long ago, everything looks and sounds great but he lives in kent (250 miles away) and will not post it at all, i don't know whether to go down there and see it. the price is £80 (i don't know...
in all honesty i don't know, if it now has free play because the washer has been wrecked then it will probably stop it.
make sure the threads on the end of the damper are pretty clean of rust and muck before you start to remove the nut, if it isn't the use a wire brush and some penetrating...
hi, does the tip of the damper (where you can see the threads sticking out above the nut) have a allen key slot to put an allen key into or a hex end? the reason why your top mount won't undo is probably because it is also turning the damper, you need to stop the damper from turning whilst...
i have a few bits onit its way out to me now:
stainless blead nipples (thanks again jon_KTM!!!!!)
one way valves for the headlamp washers
braided brake hoses
de-cat
new front carbon splitter
new offside rear brake pipe
c.v. boot
i'm getting my steering wheel retrimmed soon by snappy too, just...
not good! i'd also be really careful as too what quicks do to your car, they are not the best place to be taking a 182 IMHO. especially if your wanting your cambelt or other big jobs doing (i understand the work above was probably done under warranty?).
i'm not sure if i've seen you driving...
so i got my MOT done today and it passed with a few advisories. they were:
nearside front C.V. Boot (i knew about this but it wasn't bad so i just left it but i have a re-conditioned drive shaft to put on so this will sort that problem)
slight oil leak (this is coming from the gearbox drain...
haha, i didn't want to say anything but it was looking pretty dirty, but i can't really say anything, mines just as bad! haha
what was up with it? did you buy it from quicks?
exhaust knocking on the rear beam axle due to worn rubbers and the axle sitting further up because of the lowering springs? i had this issue after i lowered mine. i know it more than likely will not be this but it's worth a check, just go under your car and pull the exhaust up and down and see...
hi all, i spotted this early today in there garage whilst i was over there collecting a car for my work, it had a clio sport sticker on the rear window
thanks
hi, i just spotted a black gold 182 just around the corner from me, on water end going on to poppleton road/boroughbridge road.
i think the reg was BN05 and it had a 182 badge stuck under the rear clio badge
i think i've seen it a couple of times before
haha, i'm not sure when i'd be free like but it would be nice to meet someone else who has a 182 in york! if you are ever struggling with anything i may be able to lend a hand
in that case then i walked straight past you! haha, i didn't want to say anything because i wasn't in my clio at the time, i was in a learner driver mini (i was borrowing it to go and get car parts)
i also work literally just around the corner from euro car parts!
so today i have fitted my rear anti roll bar after about 3 months of having it, haha, i haven't really tested it as such but the car does feel abit better through corners with it. i was also going to replace a corroded brake pipe and change my brake fluid before my MOT, but that back fired abit...
hi, i know this is probabaly a silly question but i couldn't find anything on the whole of the interwebs with an answer. tomorrow i might change my brake fluid and i plan to use DOT 5.1 instead of DOT 4, i will be using a pressure bleeder if i can get my hands on one (probably the gunson...
i did actually see an inferno 182 the other day at euro car parts, it had 1.2 bullets though so i was confused and couldn't tell if it was actually a 182 or a rep.
i also saw a inferno 182 drive around the corner from my house once but i think you commented on my spotted thread and you said it...
this^
it will probably fail its MOT, if you really wanted to get a de-cat if i were you i would buy a de-cat pipe so you can change it over come MOT time. i don't know if you can get de-cat pipes for your car.
if you want more noise and a bit more go then a performance exhaust would be where...
here's some pics of the damage!
my MOT is due too so that will be getting done at my work over the next couple of days
i'm trying to find another black gold bumper and i will probably order a new carbon splitter too when i sort a bumper out. i think at the same time as ordering the...
i've just bought a bosch s4 from euro, the first one i was given was too big (i couldn't fit my k-tec induction kit in) and i had to go back with my old battery to get the right size. as martinr said above, i think it is an 063 battery too.
thanks
