Hi There I've had my Cup from new since October 2002 and I still enjoy driving it. Thought about swapping it for the 197, test drove it, think I'll wait 'til they Cup it until I go for another drive. Anybody else had their 172 Cup from new and still enjoy driving it? I've been looking...

Well if its any use, I went from a mk2 172 to a Cup. Bloody waste of time/money if you ask me.... 2 months down the line I was like, well thats that done then. If I was still in my old 172 Id still be a happy chappy! :D

My mum just took her 51 reg 172 to have its first service and all was well, apart from the exhaust. Apparently one of the sections (centre) has broken and itll cost £430 with labour to replace, but as it has some warranty left theyll take 50% off that price. Does that original price seem a bit...

Billabong - Sorry Ive only just replied, only just noticed this thread again. The dent is not type of a car door, I think my neighour mightve done it carrying a tool box past it. Kathy - I couldnt have done it out shopping, they dont have side-by-side parking at my local Indian Takeaway. :D...

Two dents in the back wing (not big really) not sure how it happened, its too high up for it to be another door bashing in to it. Im puzzled! See you soon, tata
