Gotcha. Kinda hoped that wouldn't be the case, and they'd have cartridge bearings!
I'd get the OE ones then, saves pressing in bearings, or beating them in with a socket & hammer! :)
Mine doesn't get in the way of anything & mounts on existing fixtures. I've even put my rear seat 'back' in the car to have a boot still. Just can't quite get the base in.
I wouldn't want to mount a harness on it - the bar is a little too low for that IMO.
It doesn't interfere with MOT, or any...
The camber will likely have changed when the spring was swapped, so the alignment will need to be done again
Pretty bad form to change just one spring though... might be worth doing the other side
I have a set of cup springs doing nothing from when I bought my car - I can check them for...
Check that the gauge is showing properly... I tapped in a 2nd to see if the one on the dash was right. I think that when they replaced the clocks for mph ones they didn't put the temp needle (or fuel needle) back on correctly
Looks nice - I have one as my weekend car
I removed the AC rad, which helped keep the temperatures lower
It's worth checking that you have the undertray still there, as that does make a difference to guiding the air to the rad
Also, and I'm sure you've looked - replace the thermostat, when I...
Technically the seatbelt should be E approved as well, which I think means a 'clip' rather than a buckle (to fasten)
But I've yet to have a tester look at the labels.
Had a private plate I think, and was driving very economically.
I was in a company passat :(
Couldn't see properly, but I think it was a lass.
Near Didcott I think... it's been a long day
Your Lambda probe can't be working.... way way too rich for that.
If it's been running badly rich for long enough your cat might be next to useless as well.
Check for wiring breaks etc
Not sure on what diagnostics capability these Renault's have - but most cars should tell you something...
You could do that... but if the towing mechanism is higher than the point you're securing it on you will have too acute an angle & the tow rope will pull on the bottom of your bumper - most likely ripping it off.
You don't need one for MOT. Therefore it's not a legal requirement
But when you break down - do you really want to be taking your bumper off to get recovered? PITA if you ask me
I was visiting the Govan 'site' today - spotted a nice looking Clio on a W plate (PhII) on the way in - really stood out amongst some very bland automotive wallpaper.
I was half asleep when I left at lunchtime though, so didn't see if it was still there :)
I've seen it a couple of times (and I think I saw you on the A272 yesterday lunchtime)
But today you're parked up on your driveway with a KTR sticker over a slightly reformed bonnet
Hope the damage is limited...
I defected :)
But the Clio build looks really interesting - how long will the car be in Daventry for the cage? at least they should be quieter mid season rather than the pre season rush
