I had Apex springs on mine before i got the coilovers and for what they are they are pretty good. They are not expensive and the ride isnt that bad with them on the car IMO

I looked at supercharging mine at one point but seeing as it was going to be totally custom i decided against it but if there was a kit available its definitely something i'd consider

Lol Lucky they actually do both look identical only mines on superlegs and has just had the throttle bodies taken off. I'm not sure if i copied you or you copied me tbh :P

how much is he after for them yoz do u know? if its a decent price i'll buy them and gad can buy mine off the car and it'll work out better all round EDIT : just phoned cliospares and they are after £1250 for the lot tb's ecu, loom etc so someone is gonna get a bargain :-)

Gad i think you can convert yours to cable throttle but if you do you would need a standalone ecu, a throttle pedal from an earlier clio and possibly a mk1 172 throttle body but i could be wrong

they've checked autodata and couldnt find it and the local dealer is being arsey. Andy gave us a hand with some of the stuff but it was for a mk1 iirc. basically they just need to know what wire is what from the pin data so they can get the ecu wired in and thats about it everything else is fitted

Cheers m8 i got the ecu off gdi and seeing as i'm in glasgow and they're in cambridge it wasnt really economical and for the record andy's been very helpful as the garage have foned him for advise

Long shot i know but does anyone have a wiring diagram (pin data?) for a 2002 172. mine is in getting throttle bodies done and the garage are having problems wiring in the omex ecu. Any help would be great as i'm stuck carless until it gets sorted :S

BenR's manifolds will be better than Hill Power ones i think as he spends more time etc on them and he comes highly recommended. The hill power ones are good aswell and i have been pleased with mine its just that i have no need for it now as i am going for throttle bodies

Drilled 2 holes in the decat and plugged them in. engine mgt light didnt come on for a while but its on now but doesnt make any diff to how the car drives

This happened to me bud it was a daft thing like an earth wire to the alternator that had snapped or had a bad connection. I was able to bump start mine but it kept cutting out and had no lights etc same as what you're saying. i'll go take a pic and show you the wire i mean

Well yeah but i'm going to need to get the parts to do it so thats why i'm asking. the company doing it are not clio specialists so its not something they do regularly

I'm having a throttle body conversion on my mk2 172 and i'm told i need to convert it to cable throttle? Is this correct and if so how do i go about it? Thanks

Gad i've got the 4 standard shocks that i took off my 172 if they are any use to you as a stop gap and i've also got my standard front brakes if they are any use as a stop gap? If you can make use of them i'll drop them into Torque for you if you like? Whens it booked in?

My carbon bonnet is miles lighter than standard (mk2 172)
