Converting mk2 172 to cable throttle

Car  206 GTI
I'm having a throttle body conversion on my mk2 172 and i'm told i need to convert it to cable throttle? Is this correct and if so how do i go about it?

Thanks

Well yeah but i'm going to need to get the parts to do it so thats why i'm asking. the company doing it are not clio specialists so its not something they do regularly

just need any throttle cable pedal from a post 98 clio, the ITB's linkage should come with their own cable and fixings.

Does this mean that the Mk1 172 throttle set up is better that the Mk 2 172 or is it just easier to use in line with the throttle body upgrade?

cable throttles are required to run bodies, you cannot run FBW throttle bodies without some immense computing power.

The mk1 throttle setup is better in the sense that you are controlling the throttle directly, in the mk2 the response is rubbish because the computer has alot of number crunching to do before it decided what position the throttle should sit it, its not always linear with FBW.
