Traders are generally more expensive. There are plenty of Cup's over 9k for sale by traders and even more at Renault! Buying a private 53 reg shouln't really make a difference because there still should be a good few months warrenty left on it.

Anything over £8k is overpriced for a 172 now. £7500-£7750 is the most he will get imo. That is by far the most expensive private one on Autotrader at the moment. Guys taking the wee wee if you ask me.
