the guy i'm getting my supercharger conversion done on my k20A2 said it'll take an fq360 or more to beat you. thats in a ctr. in a clio it would be rapid. jackson racing supercharger fully fitted will cost about 3 grand plus a bit more for tuning. plus you'll need a hondata ecu (500+) plus a...
not you as well. i've watched that vid about 10 times now. granted, in the clio at the end he does mess the last corner up a bit and loses a bit of speed but if you watch the whole thing, the ctr ghost car is ahead for the whole lap.
(on the civic) "the steering, brakes and gearbox are the...
i think that's an enzo mate. i'm talking about right at the end. 1 minute 35 to be exact. the driver in the veyron does a 3-2-1 and they both floor it and you can see the red ferrari in the mirror. the porsche was like a grey colour.
that vid of the ferrari vs ferrari is awesome. what a car...
in the veryon group test vid you can see it race against an enzo. they both go at the same time and the veyron gets ahead but if you look in the wing mirror of the veyron you can see the enzo just hanging on. brilliant
i've got this exhaust and it is fantastic. i heard it from the outside for the first time the other day coz my mate was driving it and it almost sounds like a sportsbike on full throttle. can be quite loud on motorway journeys though. especially when you've got a race manifold fitted (no cat)
it weren't a crap lap mate. how can you judge that. i don't think either of them are biased. evo says the clio is quicker on real roads and they're probably right. with the average driver at the wheel, the clio might well win if you raced the two. so evo are right in that respect. but on a...
with the exception of the 206 gti, they are all warm hatches at best. imo the rs clio and ctr are in the same class. they have roughly equal power to weight ratios and are almost indetical in speed. whoever said the ctr is in the same class as the 225 megane is wrong because that didn't come out...
you can't be serious mate. if you look at tiff's history he has consistently been one of the top racing drivers this country's had over so many years.(not anymore but a few years back). the man knows how to do a fast lap. you call it a crap lap, but not many could do better.
the times where...
this last page contains far better, more open minded, non biased reviews than the other other 3 pages. to the original poster, i suggest you just read this page and ignore the rest as they just contain silly arguments (of which i was involved in [hangs head in shame]) and even sillier comments...
if you're into modding there's more potential with a ctr. what with it being japanese and all. and with the right exhaust they sound amazing. and with a hondata ecu they develop quite a lot of torque down low. i really must get a video made so you can hear mine. it's a total beast
very well said mate. i couldn't have put it better. i drive a ctr and quite often fancy having a 172 cup. however, i wouldn't go dating paris hilton. jessica would kill me if she found out;)
lol i seem to have gotten you in a rage. you're calling me a boy now. :rasp:
if you look at our previous arguments i have never said "the ctr is better than a clio". the clio is a fantastic car to drive and many will prefer it (personal preference and all that) however comments like no...
it's not that you prefer the clio. that's fair enough. it's just that you talk utter nonsense about the ctr. you say things about it that i've never heard from anyone else. you must be in your own little narrow minded, pig headed world
pbirkett: seriously you do talk some rubbish when it comes to the ctr. it won what cars's hot hatch of the year award 3 years in a row, it has better build quality and reliability than just about everything in its class, sounds fantastic, goes like stink, can be easily modded, handles well, goes...
i wanna race in that. that is pure adrenaline. i almost raced in the clio cup at silverstone as that was the prize for winning the formula nuts competition. got to the last 30 but didn't make the top 10
i have been on the track but not for months. i'm hoping to start again in the spring and do maybe one a month. i need to get my fast road set up done and eibach springs on as well. oh and the supercharger:evil:
you're car looks pretty rapid mate. i've timed it a few times and it looks like...
pbirkett - you got 2 things wrong. first is that i never said it constantly understeers. however, when pushing hard it round a long tightening corner on the limit, eventually you will understeer in any fwd car. but it's got so much grip so it doesn't "constantly" do it. not sure how you twisted...
If they can corner at the same speeds then surely handling wise it's not a "no contest". That's why whenever they're raced around a twisty track there's nothing in it. I just think it's harder to do it with a ctr unless you're really used to the car
yeah that is a fair comment but the handling is not rubbish. it's just that due to the lack of feedback, it takes a while to realise the ctr's limits. but when pushed hard and driven properly it handles brilliantly. if you take one on the track you'll know what i mean. it's one of those cars you...
