a porsche cayenne turbo will beat any clio (V6 included) to 60, to 100 and beyond that as well. they are rapid. however you'll probably never get to see this for yourself as most are driven by women (with rich husbands) and they'll probably run out of fuel by the time they get into 4th gear;)
saw you this morning about quarter to 8. you were coming in to taylors end and i was going out in my black civic. it looked to me that you were travelling a little faster than you should have been tut tut lol;)
might actually have been a 182. only caught a glimpse as i was too busy getting...
no 1.2 clio would get near me in my ctr down a good country road so it certainly wouldn't get near an rs clio. i've had a few non rs clio's race me and one of them was lowered, coilovers the whole works. it did go round bends pretty fast but as soon as i started flooring it, it was goodbye clio...
in some parts of that vid it sounds like it's supercharged. you can hear the whine. maybe it's the anti-lag. what is that and how does it work. anyone know?
coz they are mate. quite simply put. you should see how quick lei69gh on this forum can go round roundabouts and bends. then again he is a quailty driver. i think the main things that make them handle so well are the lightness, the grip and the predictabiltity. basically you can have a lot of...
yeah that sounds pretty quick mate. similar power figures to mine but less weight. my 0-60 is in the high 5's now. that is a lot of power you've gained there. i'm curious now. have you got individual throttle bodies or a larger bore single throttle body. oh and what's an IK?
maybe one of the best all round cars ever made. along with the m5. haven't driven either but if i had the money and wanted an everyday car, these both tick all the boxes
i might be wrong but i think the one in that vid did it in 12.9. not that impresive for a 4wd car. if it's modded that is. i'd still have one though. i think they're one of the best drivers cars around
no mate i come home from work in the morning via the m11 and then take the harlow turn off. that time was a one off coz the traffic was ridiculous so i went the long way round to epping and then back roads into harlow. i'll look out for you though. flash me if you see me (not literally, just...
you were just parking up outside your house. i was the one who screamed past you in my (noisy) ctr. about twenty past nine. you don't know me but i'm a good mate of lee's (lei69gh). btw those white wheels look spot on mate. quite liking that:cool:
p.s i don't normally put my foot down in a...
that must be rapid mate. but i reckon i'd still have ya on the straight. it's a hard one to call though but i think i'd have the edge. do you know how much power and torque you're now running with that setup?
true about being even with a ctr mate. but notice how i said my ctr would eat his 182 for lunch. it's not exactly standard but he told me that i wouldn't have caught the 182 (strange how so many of you on this forum think that) so i just stated a fact. but yeah a cup and a ctr both standard...
ok who was it? about half 8 yesterday morning going towards epping from m11 roundabout. you are one crazy driver. i was in my black ctr driving along in the pouring rain when all of a sudden this madman in a clio comes screaming past me at probably about 80 and just managed to cut back in before...
i've seen that arial atom in the flesh at cpl racing. guy (the owner) is an absolute genius when it come to type r's and the k20 engines and he has developed his own turbo for the k20a engine and stuck it on that atom. it now produces a little over 450bhp. the thing is a beast. the supercharged...
he drives like a maniac that lei69gh. i hope you approached the roundabout in a slow, calm and sensible fashion, went round it carefully with consideration for other road users before gradually accelerating back to 40mph for the straight. but i'm sure you did:rasp:
in my experience of going against clio's, the 172 cup was a LOT harder to stay with than a ff 172. i didn't think there'd be much in it but i thought the difference was like night and day. in a straight line too to a certain extent. i didn't find much difference between the 182's though. but...
i do that at least once a week with one of my 2 lambos or sometimes the porsche. i never do it with my enzo though as the tyres are a bit hard to come by and besides, that's just showing off
0-60 a cup doesn't win over a ctr. the facelift ctr does it in 6.4 but lets be honest, in real life they're exactly the same up to about 90. anyone who's had a fair and proper race with with a ctr with a decent driver will tell you the same. nothing in it.
and speaking of decent drivers, you...
sounds like a load of b*llocks to me but nothing surprises me in this 'save the environment' day and age. however, i think a fine is more likely. if they notice at all.
the noise of that thing is scary. i'd s**t myself if that come up behind me. by the way, is the bloke driving that car related to the stig. he looks similar
