Noticed a slight "nick" on the leather trimmed part, kinda like the leather has ever so slightly chipped off a wee tiny - but noticeable - bit,
is it new steering wheel time or can this be repaired/hidden in any way.
also my airbag part of the steering wheel where the renault diamond and...
Firstly, is it just me or does anyone else think the trim/carpets/plastics in clios dont age very well, and if so why do they get wrecked so quickly?
next up is what is it that causes the silver inserts on clio gearknobs to become faded/peel/get wrecked, and why? when I bought my 04 plater...
couldnt really find anywhere else on the forum to put this up, in here seemed most appropriate.
anyway, today I was working on a Scenic at work, gave it a sponge wash then a blast with the pressure washer, then another blast with fresh water.
dried it off, polished it, went to put some...
Was working on a mk3 Clio Dynamique (06 plate latest shape) and a thought occured to me, the mk3 keys look soo much nicer, is it possible I could make 1 fit my 04plate mk2 ph3.
I'm assuming the remote central locking thingy and the immob chip are exactly the same and all I'd need to do is...
but 1.2 and 1.4 dynamiques dont??
why on earth does the diesel version and the 1.6 get an alarm, yet the 1.2 and 1.4 dont when they are all still Dynamique models all the same.
its deffo a UK spec Dynamique,
it HAS locking wheel nuts, window etchings, the WARNING RENAULT front window stickers, UK dealer filled in service book, UK FSH and was supplied brand new by a UK renault dealer.
was just checking as as far as I knew only 172/182s were the only clios to have...
the only leds I have in my interior are a flashing red 1 on the dash dials between the STOP light and the SERV light, assuming this is the immobiliser LED???
and the lock button on the dash next to the hazard lights switch has an led which lights up permanently for x amount of time I.e. stays...
yeah Brian I did think of sitting in the car, pressing the lock button on my keyfob then trying to open the car via the door handles or pressing the lock/unlock button on the dash (button next to hazard lights switch) and if they dont do anything its got deadlocking.
but how can I find out if...
Hi all, just wondering - as I cant find any reference to it in the owners manual - whether or not my car is equipped with deadlocks and a standard alarm.
its an 04 dynamique so a phase 3 one of the later models and dynamique spec is pretty much top of the range, barring the 172/182 RS models...
I work for arnold clark and checked with 1 of the guys who works in 1 of our renault dealerships who says it costs about £270, retail price so although I'll obviously get staff discount I think its rather steep.
especially as I've just ready the sticky in this section about what gets done in...
so mk2 Clios dont have a light/indicator telling you the car is due a service then??
pfft I thought a service engine soon light was standard on every car made by every manufacturer from about 2002 onwards.
anyway, the lights gone out now.
I thought it was the other way about, I assumed it was commonly regarded that 8vs were quicker off the mark and although had less power had all their power lower down than 16vs but nothing further up which a 16v does, hence they use all their power lower down and feel quicker at lower speeds...
no, I have a May 2004 "04" reg phase 3 dynamique, which doesnt have a clock below the mileage display on the dials, but I've driven a October 2004 "54" reg phase 3 Expression which has a clock below the mileage display readout
as I say I think renault must have added this feature at some...
I need the part number for the silver dash strip inserts for an 04 plate Dynamique.
these are the NON brushed aluminium effect ones fitted to the PHASE 3 Dynamique models, the slightly duller silver ones, if folk know what I mean.
if anyone with an 04/54/05 etc. PH3 Dynamique could check...
no, oil level is fine, already checked that, the only light that is on is the SERV light, the cars engine was running, all other lights went out as they should when I started the car e.g. abs, airbag, electric power steering, engine management light etc. only 1 that stayed on was the SERV light...
I have the same problem as Liftnub has, when I pull the release handle in the passenger side footwell, my bonnet doesnt "pop" it only slightly raises (minimal difference in panel gap between bonnet and wings and bonnet to grille gap when I pull the release handle,
I've then got to squeeze my...
as above, this is what I have on my instrument panel on my dials just the SERV light that usually goes out after a few secs when the engine is started, theres no other lights on on the instrument panel tho, does this just mean my car needs a service or is it something else??
its weird actually, my cars a 2004 04 as said and when the oil ok is displayed an I push the button for the trip computer on the end of the wiper stalk it jumps back to my mileage read out, yet pressing the trip odometer reset button shows the approx oil level
HOWEVER, I've driven a couple of...
ah right the trip mileage reset button, as it says in the handbook press the end of the wiper stalk i.e. trip computer scroll button or the trip mileage reset button I assumed you only pressed the trip mileage reset button to get it to display the oil level if your car didnt have a trip computer...
Right, I've got a 2004 04 1.2 Dynamique, which didnt come with an owners manual, so I bought 1 from Renault which ended up being a June 2005 edition, as this is the only Clio II manual they apparently now sell.
was reading about the oil display, i.e. basically when you start the car up, for...
part number for the one I got is: 8200578751 it cost me 20.96 + vat (as I work for arnold clark and get all parts at cost price + 10% :D) but retail price is 23.81 + vat = £27.98
bearing in mind the style of the 1 I bought is similar if not the same as the silver topped one fitted to 56plate...
yeah it only comes as a complete gearknob, however as you know, you can simply pop the silver bits off and swap meaning you dont need to remove the old gearknob itself which saves a bit of hassle.
I paid 25quid from renault for a new complete gearknob, however they dont make the 1 that was...
I'm not sure, but didnt renault change something in the cars after post-2000 MY, sure i've seen ebay listings before that have said for example "renault stereo, only fits renault vehicles made before 2000, or pre-2000 cars"
I could be and probably am wrong though.
I just "fitted" my genuine Renault plastic boot tray, absolutely spot on fit, and it had these 2 wee slits that sit at the furthest in side of the boot, then I noticed 2 metal hangers right behind the rear seats on the floor which is what the 2 slits were for,
Just wondered, WTF are these 2...
whys there no item number or part for the nut/bolt the changer secures onto the bracket with in that photo, it almost looks like the changer just sits on the bracket on that pic GR172 put up,
i.e. in the diagram the only nut/bolt shown is the 1 to mount the bracket to the floor.
