just get it repaired the one i used offered a 1 year warranty and was a 3 day turn around

disconnect the multi plug that goes into the rheostat (resistor) you will see the pins are numbered 12345 get a peice of wire or cable anything that will complete a circuit and join pins 1&5 together the fans should then start blowing full power obviously you will need the ignition on and the...

yeah its under the drivers side scuttle panel see below pic of where it is and what it looks like with the panel removed the offending article is on the far right of the hole in the pic

easy way to tell just bridge pin's 1&5 and the fans will come on then you know its the resistor;) and there £30 to fix look on ebay for the repair services..

I have disconnected the bonnet sensor so that has closed the circuit so the alarm thinks the bonnet is closed anyway so hopefully that should not be a problem

i have taken the battery out the car to charge it i have disconnected the bonnet sensor and locked the car before taking the battery out but now i am wondering if the alarm will go off in the middle of the night if the battery backup runs down?? hope this makes sense:S p.s couldnt leave it in...
