I am considering reacing the 182 in a local wheel to wheel racing series.
I was wondering which are the best coilovers for the 182. I would like to have rear spring-on-shock setup which will make getting different spring rates easier.
What are my choices? besides the rsport cup racer setup...
use a good 5.1 (not 5) - Castrol makes the best one but it's 50 quids per liter but any 5.1 will do unles you are racing competitively.
If you use the car on the track alot chnage the fluid every two or three sessions.
You don't need to drain the system, you can do a gravity bleed (takes...
depends on teh seat as well. i have a OMP WRC which has high sides but if you have a seat with lower sides (lime the omp rs) it is easier to get in and out.
teh front seat belts have a pre tensioner conencted to them. i wouldn't want to weld that since it contains a lil explosive lol.
You can drill a hole and a slot to fix the standard seat belt to teh side mounts or best go to the scrappy and get a hold of an old seat belt buckle and fit it to...
I have an OMP seat with side mounts. I was wondering how to swap teh standard seatbelt and pre-tensioner to the new side mounts.
i know people have done it before, it would be good to know where they drilled in the side mounts and teh position of the slot and what hardware they used.
cheers
as far as i know you need to drill holes in the stut mounts to install the front brace.
IMO the front brace is useless on the clio because the front struts are mounted very close to the firewall which acts as a brace iself.
I believe you can get more out of the rear brace since there are no...
Hi all,
I got my RS Tuner today and when i connected it it gives me an error (VIN not recognised).
My 182 vin is VF1GC12195K531838 I live in Bahrain so i guess that's why the VINs are different here...
Do any of you know how to insert the VIN manually? Do any of you had the same issue...
Tru but as long as the angle between the spine and the belt is less than 45 degrees you will be safe (FIA regs), yes ideally they should be connected to the cage.
Very nice!
But please note that the harnesses should be mounted symmetrically to the driver's spine. Meaning that they should be connected to teh rollbar or teh floor directly behind the driver and not to teh side like yours are. This is to avoid twisting of the driver's upper body during an...
KWs are very good, had them on my Silvia but Motons are way better (and therefore more expensive) and they are build to specs so you can have them anyway you want them.
I think renault has some interesting coilies on the endurance speccd clios but i have never seen a set in person.
For club...
When you lower the car besides the point where the steering arms and driveshafts are at a sharp angle (conidering that at stock height they are parallel to the ground) you will run into:
- Bumper steer
- Premature wear of driveshaft bearings
A lowe car migth look good but it doens't mean it...
