Bucket seat with standered seatbelts.

  172 and vw passat
Ok i currently have bucket seats in my car and using harnesses, that are realy pi**ing me off. (big time). So been thinking or welding my orignal seat belt clip thing onto my subframes, is this safe? or is there special seatbelt clips you can buy, as i was gonna take them off my standered seats.

cheers.

teh front seat belts have a pre tensioner conencted to them. i wouldn't want to weld that since it contains a lil explosive lol.

You can drill a hole and a slot to fix the standard seat belt to teh side mounts or best go to the scrappy and get a hold of an old seat belt buckle and fit it to the rear base mount.

Mind that if you want to connect teh stock seat belts you also have to connect teh sensor that is on the seat rails. i think that tells teh computer if teh seat is reclined or not, but i'm not sure about it.
