+1 as already mentioned it depends on the way the subs being used, like 'thejoose' said a well intergrated sub will only improve the overall sound of the music.

really like the simplicity of your clio! it looks superb in black! i also own a mk1 ph3... one question i had though was what front pads and discs did you upgrade to? where from and can you notice the performance difference? i was thinking of doing something along these lines myself...
