Spoke to the guy i bought them off and he said he used them like that, Bit wary to be honest, spacers are pretty sketchy anyway let alone ones that arent even touching the hub! mite see if i can get someone with a lathe to bore them! ha, effort!
nope, was replacing the discs so everything came off.
Just did a search and seems that it was a design fault by FK or something. f**king great! love wasting money....
Bought some FK spacers off a lad on here. They are 10mm and hubcentric. The say 'fk 133' on the side which is supposedly the correct clio fitment.
When i went to fit them they wouldnt sit flush to the hub because the ring of the hub extrudes to far. The picture below shows what i mean.
Any...
may well be the right choice then! Would love the torque of a diesel but cant stand the noise they make especially in small cars, just seems out of place and reminds me of tractors! lol. But for what your after a dci would be much more cost efficient so probably is the right choice.
Haven't driven a dci but i think my 1.4 is pretty good for what it is. Have an uprated panel filter and full exhaust system and it seems a lot more lively and responsive. However as stated above it does have to be revved quite high to get any 'speed' out of it resulting in (for the engine size)...
ha^ sorry. Ive found out is a 'resonator' box to quieten down the engine. Surely its restricting air flow to the engine though was was thinking about replacing it with just a straight through piece of piping...
edit: bit more searching reveals this has indeed been tried. will give it a bash...
Just fitted a new panel filter and at first i thought it was in the plastic box thats circled, turns out its not, anyway what the hell does that box thing do? looks like it gets in the way to me...
lol did you run over a cone at about 11.20? that saxo near the beginning looked pretty quick, the black one with 1 brake light working! looked like a laugh out there anyway, as soon as i get a car with some power guna get mi self signed up for some track days!
