I allways leave mine in gear, on a hill or not, call me old fashioned or something, but when your rear brakes freeze solid in wintertime you'll think again in the future
Having your drivers licence revoked is a good solution aswell
When i get mine back on monday i just know the 172 is again going to feel as fast as when i first bought it.
Think i'll opt for the Ford transit route though PMSL
I got 2 sets of trackday rubber today, a set of Yoko advan A048 and a set of Kuhmo ecsta V700, both in 205-50/15 and medium compound.
I got both sets for free as the guy where they came from couldn't use them any more as they arent allowed in his class this year.
the advans are new, the kumo's...
If you'd get it mapped, you can be sure the mpg's will raise even more with that kind of driving style.
My remapped one does 85-95 mpg all day long no matter how hard i trash it, on steady runs it WILL do more than 100mpg
a few years back i drove it to the ring (starting in belgium) did 2 laps...
All depends on what you want it for, and what you expect from it.
If you like a more raw car, more thrilling to drive, keep the 172, if you want a bigger car, that doesn't rattle (yet), more comfort take the 197.
I drive both a 172 and a R27 on regular basis and i still prefer my 172, i don't...
Also it has federal and marangoni rubber, i mean wtf, surelly after spending all that money and effort on it you'd think they'd put decent tyres on it,
but no, ditchfnders première classe
That said it looks mental though
Whats a ph2 172 with sat nav then ejj?
SO a 03 and later model 172, equipped with esp and sat nav is a 172FF
172's with cup spoiler, cup splitter and coileys qualify under that term aswell:approve:
does it have to be a clio, otherwise i have a golf Mk2 from 1991 with 6K on the clock, and yes there real miles, it even smells as new on the inside lol
It has a slight nose down stance, pics dont show it that well as it's stood on unlevel ground. no need to get the back higher, i like it as it is and passengers in the back isn't possible because of the fixed bucket seats.
I've had the RE040's and imo they were the best tires i've ever had, immense good tire when dry, but even better in the rain, and then i mean epic on wet surfaces
actually they still make both superleggeras and ultraleggeras, only problem is that the superleggera 3's aren't being made in clio fitment and they are at least 19" big
