    REAL motorway MPG

Over the past 1000 miles of plain boring driving I've averaged 39.7mpg in my 182. It doesn't include much stop start in towns which must have helped.

Who's everyone with Insurance wise and is it a reasonable price ?

Aviva quoted me happy at £295 on my 182 with no modifications:- 27, 8 years ncb (which are protected), £150 excess, 10k miles, home start recovery

how do i use these things by hand

I'd guess using some microfibre clothes and a sponge applicator for the wax. Not wishing to sound obvious but don't they normally say on the bottle what the best way is?

Photo request - 182 Climate Control interior sensor

I am after a photo of the interior interior light arrangement on a 182 where the climate control sensor's are located. As I am trying to work out what the spare connector is for, whiich is all in relation to the following posts. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=506629 Just seem...

Silly Climate problem - nope, not the cable tie fix

I don't know what the black thing in my photo is for, it's got a small blue bit that shows up in the cabin. As for the torpedo shaped bit, I don't have a space like that where the small vents are. Mine's an 05 182. It's all too confusing for my simple brain :S

Silly Climate problem - nope, not the cable tie fix

Should I have something attached to the red connector, and if so would it be a sensor thingy to get my climate control to change temperature?

Possible new splitter found!! (Skoda Fabia)

Re: Possible new splitter found!! Didn't drill mine, just have some spinach before hand :rasp: I screwed the middle one in first, but not completely tight so you could rotate it a bit if needed, and then did a side at a time. If I can do it, then anyone should be able to ;) While I was...

Possible new splitter found!! (Skoda Fabia)

Re: Possible new splitter found!! Use some self tappers, with a decent screw driver and they'll screw straight through and into the bottom of the bumper. Think I went a bit overboard as I put one through each small tab (18 I think), but at least it doesn't wabble. It's easy enough to line...

Silly Climate problem - nope, not the cable tie fix

Got the same problem on my 182. Not looked at the interior sensor yet. Got told it would need further investigation from the renault garage as it was nothing obvious. Likewise any help much appreciated

    Track day bodyroll

I wouldn't have said body roll was always a bad thing providing it's consistent from front to rear. If the front and rear roll at the same rate you'll have no nasty surprises when it comes to turning in, although it can make changing direction feel sluggish. Surely if your ending up with lots...

Michelin Exalto's crack under low mileage?

Same here, have no idea how long they have been on the car though. On a side note how many milles can you expect to get out of a set of rears.

    Best cutting compound for swirlmarks?

I know the feeling about a black car, my fiesta before hand was black and I said I would never have another black, but got tempted as it was nice and shiny on the garage forecourt. Sorry no pics, all I can say is that it did help, it's not perfect by a long shot but it's better than it was.

Possible new splitter found!! (Skoda Fabia)

Re: Possible new splitter found!! Not sure about that, but in my view £12 is much better value than £140. Think it just goes to show how many sport owners want a cheap solution to the splitter thing  The second one looks deeper and slightly more rounded to me, a bit like the thin and...

    Best cutting compound for swirlmarks?

In the same boat, although with some effort and meguirs scratch X and some SRP it did help a bit, but still not perfect.

Possible new splitter found!! (Skoda Fabia)

Re: Possible new splitter found!! I didn't cut the tabs off mine, just trimmed them so they were all flat which made screwing on easier. As for the time, I guess it depends on how confident you are and what tools you have to hand to make life easy. But it soon disappeared, and I gave up...

Possible new splitter found!! (Skoda Fabia)

Re: Possible new splitter found!! Yeah I think some people must use a different clock to me, or maybe "no more nails!?!?!?" I gave up trying to do it with my head under the bumper and took it off in the end which made life easier. Might jack it up at the weekend and put some shorter screws...

Possible new splitter found!! (Skoda Fabia)

Re: Possible new splitter found!! I got this one 5J0 807 061 9B9 from the local Skoda garage. I don't know how people managed to fit it in such short amount of time, like you ScarySquirrel it took me a couple of hours too :S Thinking the 20mm self tapers are a bit on the long side as mine...

    smaller splitter

I think the Megane one looks a lot better and bargain too!! Another cheap alternative would be http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=497526, fitted one at the weekend and it looks good, probably a smidge deeper than Megane one you put on.

    California car scent?

Yeah I thought that, but hey how always handy to have a spare. They are good in that you can open and close the vent on the top which will hopefully make them last a decent length of time and it looks better than a tree with half the wrapping pulled off!! Got an orange one in at the minute and...

    Climate Control Fan/Sensor AWOL??

Have a similar problem with mine, although it depends what temperature the climate control is set at before the engine is started as to how hot or cold the air is that comes out. Thus half way through my journey I have to stop, set the temperature I want, switch engine off and back on again and...
