    Yep, the 1.8 cams will work with the 2.0l bottom end, as far as Im aware theyre have identical profile, the 2.0l ones just have slightly higher lift.

    Yep, the ECU limiter should kick in around 7200.

    Sounds like your coolent temp. sensor is on the blink, this is what the ECU uses to control idle speed, new ones only about 8 quid from BBPT.

    Well redline is 7 grand and the limiter should be at around 7200 i think, I wouldnt make a habbit of going to 8 grand, youll bust a conrod or a rod bolt, very messy.

    Get a 1.9D crank from scrappy for 40quid, get it lightened and balanced, then get some williams pistons, second hand or from Renault. Should be able to get it rebuilt as a 2.0l with the leftover money and get a Hill Power chip to run it.

    I agree with you, 2live, as Im going the 2.0l, TBs, Head and Cams route too, but mainly coz I dont believe in forced induction. But theres no way youll ever keep up with a high boost 1764cc, BBPT reckon good for 300bhp and 400bhp in bursts!!:D What you want is the above spec. with N2O.

    I think the Clio ways quite a bit more than 600kg. 137bhp in a 600kg car would give 228bhp/tonne. Which would be Evo VI kinda performance.

    Ben mate the Race Logic TC systems are the b****cks, they dont work on ignition cut but use injector cut instead, they gotta be good as F1 teams use them or a derivative anyway.
