Keeping the injectors in there origona positions is a good idea in that it makes it easyer to install TBs, but in this position youll be loosing power, the further the injectors are from the inlets the better, but I think that only applys at high rpm. The best set up would be to use the ones in...
Really hate to say this, but Im relly coming round to the benefits of RWD over FWD driving round in an old clapped out 2.0l Sierra. It just goes where you point it, no matter how hard you put your foot down. Also starting to enjoy the lazyness of the engine, not having to change all the time to...
Well redline is 7 grand and the limiter should be at around 7200 i think, I wouldnt make a habbit of going to 8 grand, youll bust a conrod or a rod bolt, very messy.
Get a 1.9D crank from scrappy for 40quid, get it lightened and balanced, then get some williams pistons, second hand or from Renault. Should be able to get it rebuilt as a 2.0l with the leftover money and get a Hill Power chip to run it.
Just wondered if the guy I raced down the Eastern Road in Portsmouth today was anyone off here?
Not sure what engine size it was, new shape and just said 16v on the side but he caught me off guard from the lights but as soon as we were moving it was level all the way to 80mph till we backed...
I agree with you, 2live, as Im going the 2.0l, TBs, Head and Cams route too, but mainly coz I dont believe in forced induction.
But theres no way youll ever keep up with a high boost 1764cc, BBPT reckon good for 300bhp and 400bhp in bursts!!:D
What you want is the above spec. with N2O.
As far as I know my cars standard, but I think it may have had work done it it as it does seem quite fast. 142mph was the indicated speed, so I might just have a dodgy speedo. 142 is scary until your 17 year old brother goes past at close to 200mph on yours dads Fireblade, unlicenced and...

Nick,
What about swaping the pullys for lighter alloy ones, but keeping the same sizes. Surely this would help with pick-up and may even realese a few bhp?
I do road rallying with a mate in a 1.6 205 GTI, and yes it is old, roll cagged, bucket seats/harness and pencil beam spot lamps.
And we NEVER break the speed limit, I mean who needs to when each stage is planned out so you can do it at 30mph not including the time to work out the...
If the pedal is just juddering when you brake hard and not at any other times its just the ABS working.
Where do you go road rallying? What club you in? You compete in all nighters?
Ben mate the Race Logic TC systems are the b****cks, they dont work on ignition cut but use injector cut instead, they gotta be good as F1 teams use them or a derivative anyway.
