Ok so after getting stuck on the front and finally completing them with the help of forum members I thought i'd ask about the rears here as well :)
So I have removed the H&R springs and shocks and under the springs am left with two pieces each side.
This one which sat under the springs on...
Spot on mate did it at the weekend in the end, easy once you know how ehh
P.S you must have amazing man beef coz it was hard enough with the bar :P
Definitly would hav been easier with more than 2 hands as well.
I was unsure about how much downwards force to apply as I was led to believe the hub required supporting at all times to prevent the driveshaft popping! Is it ok to apply force to the wishbone as it will pivot and not drag the hub down then?
This i becoming quite a pain now
I have now assembled the spring and shock combi:
It seems quite obvious now that I have it in the right order:
I am however now having problems getting this onto the car.
It would seem that it needs to enter to the rear of the arch (the right side of...
Nice one for the quik reply mate.
Maybe B is just for the coilovers as the massive plate above the spring (shown on spring is first photo) was not on the coilovers, but that smaller one was!

Ok so i've jacked up both sides now and the car is on stands.
Now I want to make sure Im putting the suspension back together correctly and that i'm not missing anything:
This is my spring/shock assambly so far:
I don't have a picture of the bearing but does it go directly on top of this...
Ive just got the side im working on jacked up, did you mean with both wheels up it will be an issue or with just one up it will be as issue?

As per the title will be fitting this lot at the weekend, can anyone offer me any advice on fitting/bleeding etc?
I assume I start from the caliper "furthest" from the resevoir and work fowards?
Its to my ph1 172 btw.
Last time I had the car up I held the rears to the current ones and they...
The 888s get alot hotter than normal tyres even when driving sensibly, and the moment you give it some stick the pressures rise massivly, all weather tyres have to be drivin very hard for even a slight pressure change, but the 888s heat so much easier.
Im the same as you mate, drivin to the limit on country roads everyday killed my front eagle F1s in 3k and Pe2s in 4k.
I now have a set of 888s and there absolutly amazing in the dry allthough after 500 miles there already showing quite abit of wear, I would estimate maybe 2.5k out of them...
I was pondering earlier how possible it would be to create your own paddleshift system. I came to the conclusion that with only limited knowledge and resoures the only way that might be possible would be with a bike box and obviously running a bike engine.
So would this be possible?

Two of my friends have DC2s, its true there are alot of dogs out there, but one of my friends paid less than £6k and got an absolute minter, UK FSH with 60k on the clock. There not all that fast on the straights, infact there exactly the same as my ph1 172, but they look stunning and handle...
