although a pain in the arse , it could of been alot worse.. atleast you now have your money back and have learnt a valuable lesson.
i had a similar experience regarding hpi's as i didnt do my own and lost approx 3.5k in a night
msg my mate, he runs this company http://www.hondatyperbreakers.co.uk/ they may have some decent upgrade parts knocking about for you.. tell them perry passed you on.
i was thinking the same
may look like a little bit herer and there but there is some serious hours work needed on that !
il reply to pm when i can just been very busy lately
FLOL what a joke.
there arent murders and gunshots on a regular basis.. were do you think you live some ghetto ?
i know exactly what goes on around those area's, yeah its rough but very far from what your making it out to be. Think your neighbours must have COD on to loud and your mistaking...
dont let a smart repair man do it..
if its close ish to a wing then budget for the wing to be blown in aswell, upto 200 sounds about right.. maby a touch more depending on were you go etc
'' bought''
i think they would have to go black to match your bonet... silver may look ok aswell.. or a bright orange if you lower it and do your badges the same orange
that comment wont go down well on here.. insurance on a converted car will be more than a standard 197/200.
but yeah the conversion can easily be done with a little mechanical knowledge
the intercooler needs to be sized in relation to your needs.. a massive IC will cool a little more but on a smaller turbo will give you a a little more lag.. there cheap enough to swap about as and when needed.
same with injectors you wont jam 1000cc's in there in the of chance you may go big...
you probably could still have the skim done.. but then what you going to do with a head full of swarf ? and i highly doubt anywere will perform a skim with a built head..
only takes half hour to strip a head anyyway.. if that. then atleast you can renew all the seals etc while your at it
electrical engineering or sparkie ? 2 very very different things.
1 ecu controls the engine, ignition timing, fuelling etc. and the 2nd controls the interior.. dash, imob, CL, EW etc etc. the uch is the biggest pain as there the most temperamental ( interior ecu)
fair enough. just depends how good you are with electronics.. remember u essentially have 2 ecu's to keep happy on there.. hard enough of a job when its a standard car lol.
2 years time ? thats alot of forward planning.. any reason why ?
yeah no doubt they will be alot cheaper by then but its still gonna be a pig to do.. and time consuming.. the 172 stuff is plug and play.. were as the meggy will require a few wiring adjustments
only one in a van btw.. obv there is loads in non rs clio's.
when i was comparing engines/prices the 1.9 dci lump was fetching around 1400 ( engine, turbo, ancilaries etc) .. then you would need a full loom and to then make it fit a clio.. then exhaust etc.
or.. you can buy a sport for v...
