Directline much cheaper than anyone else, also quotes can vary with the same company. When we got the first quote off directline it was £80 more than the current price now.
He should have known sooner, if you were due to pick it up today, the dealer would have arranged for you to send an insurance cover note so they could tax the car. Normally they dont ask for this until the car is in the dealer. Mine was also delayed a week. I think most peoples cars on here have...
I am just about to reach 1,500 miles in a Clio 182. Should I be looking at having an oil change? If so how much should I be looking at paying and any recommendations of which oil to use? I know the service book says get it serviced at 12,000 miles but it surely would be a good idea to change...
Regarding how common they are. If you are comparing a MCS to a 182 then MCS are very very common in Manchester only seen one other 182 in six weeks. In the same time spell I must have seen 40 - 50 MCS and I am not inflating the figure.
The 182 has now taken the reign at the top of the hot hatch section in "the knowledge" section of EVO. For me this is the best car mag around so I do value their opinions more than Autocar, Auto Express or Car.
For me that says it all. One other point. How many MCSs do you see around 5 or 6 a...
I know what a load of rubbish, "ownership experience" What having a car everyone on the planet has got. They are so common in Manchester I must see 5 or 6 Cooper Ss a day only seen one other 182 to date.
Auto Express Star ratings:-
Engine/performance 182 ***** MCS *****
Ride/handling 182...
This is the bit where it ranks them:-
1) Mini Cooper
+ points Funky styling, torquey engine, cabin quality, steering, handling, ownership experience.
- points Poor boot space, not as well equipped, supercharger whine
2). 182
+ points Exterior tweak, grip, direct steering, punchy and...
I wouldnt really recommend Renault Manchester from past experiences in my first clio. Although that was 4 years ago. Just got another Renault so will be faced with this choice again, Renault Manchester is my closest dealer so I may give them ago. My mate uses Renault Manchester for his Megane...
Bizarrely I just had a call from Phil Barker of Barkers of Preston telling me they have got 7 or 8 182s in available for purchase now. All Silver with upgraded suspension for £12,150 they also have some others without the upgrades, please note they are imports. If anyone wants his number let me...
I used Motorlogix they work in a similar way you pay them around about £280 the car is ordered from the dealer I got a Black Gold 182 with Suspension upgrade and Spolier. The car is a UK car, comes with the three year warranty, roadside assistance etc.
You pick it up from a Renault dealer who...
Rang the dealer this morning it is in French transport (god knows what that means) it is suppose to be in the Uk sometime early next week. In the dealer on the 1st ready for pick up around two weeks today. No doubt that will change.
Thanks for the pictures.
I rang the dealer on Friday and it had been delayed by three days, I am sure this is going to be longer.
It was suppose to be 1st March. I am getting mine from a dealer in Blackheath/Lewisham area they claim to be getting two other Black Gold ones in on the same delivery as well as mine. I...
There is a place in Cheshire that had 3 black 3 blue 2 red and 2 silver 172s back in January. I nearly bought one, but as they wouldnt budge much on the price I have now waited for a 182. They were imports but came with a 3 year warranty.
It sounds a bit dodgy to me, I wouldnt like a car that looks black in one light and then gold in another. neither would I like speckles of gold in the paint. I just want black. Does anyone have any pictures?
Found a place that is doing the 182 for £12,000 or £12,250 with the suspension upgrade. Delivery 1st March. I am thinking of waiting now, unless I can get a good deal on a 172. Thanks for all your opinions.
A garage has about 7 172s left they are all imports with same spec, and three year Renault warranty. All new, they anticipate getting the 182s in, in about 6 to 8 weeks. With this happening it could give some bargaining power with the 172.
I thought I would see what people here think. I am going to buy a 172 this weekend. Do you think it is worth waiting for the 182 to come out? I am also going to buy a import has anyone got any experiences of this?
Any Help would be good
