Is there not a switch to flick the lights from left to right? I never actually checked when i had my 172 ph2 but i remember on my puma when i had one there was a switch to flick on the reverse of the unit to angle the lights from left to right for use abroad.
I have owned both and can say i prefer the ph1 172. The gearing is a lot better now i am used to it and it does feel faster than my 172 FF although i had a bad 172 FF.
Been up against a few 182s and i can pull on them. Nothing to blow you mind but the qu-quick is faster slightly

Think a cup offset is 37 and the trophy is 40 something but thats off the top of my head and could be wrong
EDIT : If iirc Cup is ET 37.5 and trophy is ET 45

If you want a better looking interior and CC instead of AC then i would say go for it mate. Exterior is subject to opinion as to what you prefer.
However with the spec you listed for your car i would bet good money that it will be quicker than the standard 182 you want to change to.
