yeah but on the 172 its the same sensor for the gauge and ecu, so if the gauge is working ok.... thats not to say its not got a wiring fault tho

the pipe you are looking at is the idle air control valve intake. the ccv is on the bottom of the throttle body (underneath),

i'm sure on the 172 it has just one sensor that runs the gauge and the ecu inputs. but i dunno bout the wiring

red flashing led's are normal and it sounds like you got a flat battery for starters

cutting the siren wires wont stop the hazards kicking off
