I turboed, mine on a standard head gasget to start with. No problems with that at all. Gearboxes, yes. Bad engine, no. Especially if they are standard and well maintained. They will never let you down.

What have you done to your gear box to cope with that power. My Clio turbo is going to go through them like tanks of petrol. What sort of money are we talking for gearbox mods and from where. Cheers mate

I have just finished building my engine, You need to use mineral oil, when you first build an engine, this allows all of the components to wear togeter, i.e, the rings angainst the bore, the main bearings against the crank etc. Then you should change it to fullt synthetic after 1000- 2000 miles...

I have asked BB about there turbo conversion and they have been rubbish with information. They wont sell me parts for my conversion ie pistons etc. So I spoke Dave at K tec racing and we had some custom jobbies made from Je. Just shows that Dave is willing to help out for the Little bits and BB...

Err bloody hell. Rods are from Arrow percision, Pistons are custom from JE in California. 8.5:1 comp ratio. Pistons were loads of money, rod were even more!!!! I have since pulled the engine out since the photo of the car. To put the internals in it. I am going to run a Dastek Uni chip...

both my intercooler pipes go underneath the engine. That is definately the best wat to do it. I still managed to kep the battery in the front as well

I saw the chrome rocker cover and inlet manifold on the Clio turbo that BB have done, the guy who is having it done by BB said he had the stuff chromed locally, Does any one know where he means? It was alot cheaper than I have been quoted previously. Cheers Ben

sorry couldnt resist boasting about it! How do you lot know who has the fastest clio then. Is there an event. I have been to North Weild and done a qtr mile but that was before I turboed mine.
