Try eBay mate. That's where I bought one from on one of my previous cars. What they'll sell you is a special film to stick over the light or to stick inside the rear window.
Give Karl a ring at SMC Renault. He does a RenaultSport forum discount for users, and I just bought a pair of new front shocks for £125 delivered (UK).

I did the 10 Month policies for 5+ years with admiral, then got it protected and moved to Aviva last year anyway. As someone has already said, they accepted it no problem as the Proof of No Claims does not specify the type of policy that was held.
IMO smart repairs are not worth the hassle!
I've never had a good one on my previous cars, from shrinking filler, wrong colour matches, peeling laquer. You really are better off going to a proper bodyshop, it's worth it in the long run!
I think it's just a trait of the car/gearbox/exhaust tbh. I have the same thing, and so does my mate in his 200!
I wouldn't worry mate, you've got warranty to cover it should anything break anyway, which I doubt it will!
I4D all the way! Matt is really on the ball, and providing he has it in stock you'll get it as soon as possible. Always have items from him in next to no time. Well recommended.
Epic mate! Love the new colour coding and the wheels mate.
So glad you went for an FF and not a cup - would've looked crap being a cup with the black strip down the door! Would've left you with even more to colour code...
Agree that some agree H&Rs would set it off even more though.
I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same tbh, only painted anthracite.
From memory the cup pack only changed the colour of the wheel and the tyre fitted (maybe not) but essentially they are the same wheel whether it be silver or anthracite.
Hope that helps.
I too don't see any reason why they wouldn't fit - a seatbelt is a seatbelt surely?
Just to prewarn you...when I looked into getting some for my 197 they were £200+ for a pair from renault!!
I'd say go for it mate! It's an epic car and by the sounds of it any car you're going to buy is going to be a bit on the expensive side. It's been said before but - you only live once!
IMO Transcal are second to none! They've just done my R27 in complete black nappa with double silver stitching for £895+VAT and they used my car for their recaro template so they might even do it even cheaper now.
Love the red stitching on this, but not sure about the R27 and the RS badge...
Lol, trouble is the switch is obviously hooked through the glovebox so that it comes on when the lid is opened.
Only takes 5/10 mins, and the bulb shouldn't need changing that often anyway!!
You'll need to take the glove box out - best way.
Firstly remove the dash strip above, and the airbag panel on the side. Then undo the torx bolts under the strip, one on the side, and one inside the top of the glove box. The glove box will then pull out and you can then get to the bulb...
I bought my 182 ones from ebay and they lasted years! Never had any problems with them.
As long as you're sensible about which people you buy from, i.e. look at feedback and don't necessarily go for the very cheapest, then you shouldn't have any problems.
Evening All,
My mate and I detailed his Albi 200 this morning to firstly get it up to scratch for an upcoming show and also to get it waxed ready for winter. We had already done a correction from when it was new as unfortunately the paint quality and the know how of the dealership valeters...
Lol - what a joke!
Was exactly the same at Renault World Series - anyone under 30 couldn't even test drive a RenaultSport... Great way to encourage owners to buy a new RS I reckon!
Spot a blonde girl driving this car most mornings now, wondered if you were on here?
You're driving my mates old car which he part ex'd, so I just wondered if you were part of cs? You've prob realised by now that it's not a standard 172...
The earlier 197s did seem to suffer with a few gearbox problems. I've heard of synchros being replaced and even whole gearboxes.
I paid £80 for a gearbox oil change at the stealers and it seems to have sorted similar problems for me.
From memory - no they shouldn't. The two metal parts are separate parts which slot through to make up the plug on the other end. I don't think they should be touching anywhere. Trouble is that once you've removed the original bulb the connections will never be in the same position as I found...
I had a similar thing on my R27 when I put LEDs into the number plate lights - turned out that the contacts on one of the bulb holders were touching so I bought new one! Might be worth disconnecting both the number plate bulb holders and see if the lights still short out. Hope that helps.
Xell seems more than happy with his though. There are a lot of driveability issues with the 197/200, especially compared to the 182 which I've owned previously.
In any case my R27 isn't standard ;)
After speaking to Xell, I've got my 197 booked in for next week now - can't wait!
As with the general consensus in this thread, I'm not too fussed out power figures. What I'm looking forward to is seeing the gains the map has made and then the differences made to the driveability.
At £250...
I've just taken these out of my 182: -

Epic speakers tbh, but couldn't fit them in the back of my new 197. :(
I've got a spare pair with speaker adaptors, if you're interested PM me.
Has anyone managed to get decent speaker cable into the 197 doorcards? I've been trying everything but the doorcards have lots of compartments and I can't find a way in! Any help would be appreciated!
