Looks like its far stronger than the one I bought..
http://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-series/product-details/Universal+Exhaust+Mount/1549.html
that's the one most people use, (why I bought it) an its sh*t.
No the power flex polyutherane or which ever polymer it is. Where you drill the centre it snapped after a few miles! I'd take a photo but I threw them in the bin.
Its like once you drill it out there isn't enough meat either side of the hole to support the exhaust.
Buying one new, €199 comes readily unlocked/with licence doesn't it? So for the chew on of waiting for one to come up and be successful getting it (they sell pretty rapid) then getting the licence. I'll probably buy new and sell it on as being the latest version with the very latest software as...
You can buy a poly bush one (power flex make them) but both mine snapped with in a week.
My current set up is a Prima racing Group N mount for the rear, and Jetex stainless steel mikolar clamps instead of the s**t U clamps you get provided with. As for the fitting kit for the Decat just get it...
I had two power flex exhaust mounts both snapped with in a week! Had a prima racing one for a month or so now.
Buy cheap buy twice.. Or thrice in my case
Use all new gaskets/fitting kit where needed.
Also use some beefy exhaust clamps, standard cheap sh*tty U clamps won't do! Also for the rear mount do the socket trick or buy a prima racing one like I did!
Gonna take a lot of fiddling to sit right
There's no try before you buy at an Auction obviously, so you kinda have to buy with potential of spending far more on it than anticipated!
However most used car dealers use them so there's clearly money to be saved/had
Probably some form of vacuum line, I've seen people make a small hole in the new filter and chuck it in there..
Never bothered with a cone filter mind so don't quote me on it solving the problem!
Make the car feel a tad more solid. My gear stick stays still now no matter now much stick I give it! Makes the car vibrate a tad more on tick over mind but I like that to!
