was dicking about in the mud, climbing a steep bank, took it at too much of an angle, slipped down sideways almost rolled it then landed against a tree!by the time I managed to get out of that position i'd scraped both OS doors and the rear arch!!!! fail!
luckily the majority of the damage is...
You could then head back towards Llandovery, take the A4069 signposted Llangadog, then head towards Brynaman over the famous Black Mountains.
You can then head back towards Brecon on the A4o67 and carry on north back towards Builth Wells.
Sorry wasn't specifically aiming at you matey, was just my take on it
I can't remember the last time I worked an 8v head...prehistoric or what :p
I can actually, it was an rs turbo about 5yrs ago!!!
There are plenty of gains from the F4 head, it's way too biased towards swirl in my opinion, and in doing so cfm really is reduced. There are ALOT of areas of sheer in the intake, which disrupts flow and causes a poor velocity gradient...takes a fair bit of work to iron this out.
Should have...
I'm 89% sure a racelogic gauge works with it!
If not then yeah you'd have to f**k about with calibration via altering resistence, it's only a two wire sensor so wouldn't be too hard.
If you were clever about it, you could probably retrofit a Williams/valver combined oil level and oil temp sensor in place of the f4 oil level sensor....
Like what?!
Zetec ones are kinda £800
The issue with the f4r in a clio is 1) lack of space in front of the head 2) with ac, lack of space to the lower left of the inlet.
It can be done, but as for making it economically viable as a saleable product, its not easy to make it "cheap"...
and whatever you do, dont buy the ones off ebay, a customer brought some in when i fitted his cage, i chucked them in the bin and got some from Demon Tweeks.
definately alot more potnetial with a turbo....if youve got the money.
With ITBS you'll typically see about 30bhp gain peak, and about the same through the midrange in torque.
The drive is totally transformed, instant throttle response, and more acceleration in every gear.
For the budget...
If you havnt got the money to do it right, which @ 2k you havnt, then I'd rule turbocharging out.
Ktec have an ITB kit @ £2500 which retains original loom&sensors, this would be the best route for your budget.
tbh you'll gain efficiency from being fully aluminium, the rads I use are less volume than std, but cool about the same.
if airflow is an issue, you could always run a scoop from the left hand side of the rad acrosss the front of the bumper.
Thats very impressive mate...
Solved alot of problems there!
I had a similar aluminium panel in design for the front section, but not considered moving the rad to the side...good shout!
and no, cant say ive ever baught a copy of french car :p
I dont see £3000+vat as a realistic price for a supercharged setup, fitted and mapped, tbh
£4000 maybe, at a push. Last one I built was £8000, but that wasnt a conversion as such, rather a full build specifically set-up for a supercharger...not just a standard engine with a supercharger on...

then spend the sizable remainder on brakes and refreshing suspension, whether this be uprated gear or simply replacing worn parts.
