Hi,
I have been wondering recently about putting on the handbrake after a drive when the discs are hot, how bad it is for the brakes? I usualy try to let them cool down but living pretty central in London I don't reallt want to leave it off even though the road is flat (i live 20mins from...
The garage is refusing to supply me with a list of the work carried out on the car, saying as it was an insurance claim they don't need to. The insurance company say they don't release this info either. Anyone been through this before?
Thanks,
Alex
I have decided to make a claim against REA Renault for the splitter as all communication has broken down and they have made a final offer.
Is there anyone on here who has made a this type of claim before, or anyone who has had problems with the REA group?
Thanks,
Alex

It was a Renault dealer in London. They took the car in to do some other stuff and they offered to try to fix it as it was cracked. They bassicaly broke it into 3 peices when taking it off and just stuck it back on - it...
Hi,
Has anyone used the carbon front splitter that K-TEC sell? If so, how easy is it do fit and is it well made- ie will it fall off in 6 months?
A dealer damaged mine and it seems cheaper to buy thiers buy about 40% then get a new one from Renault!
Thanks
Alex
I pay £1,000 for a 182 with Direct Line who were by far the best with 4 years NCB in London, i've just lost 2 of those and i'm planning to sell when i need to renew as i can't justify over £1000 on insurance when i only use it at weekends. probably works out at £20 a drive!
I will get them fitted either way, I dont mind paying a bit extra to convenience but how much of a rip of is that? If I can get them fitted local (London) easily for less than £80 I would do it.
Just got the go-ahaed from the insurance today... took AGES! The pads need doing, garage said £117 for them both, is this reasonable? It seems easier to get them done at the same time... at least they agreed to everything else, I belive the bill came to over £4000....
After damaging my car and leaving it for a an insurance claim at a London dealer i called renault direct and made a complaint, the next day I got an apology from the magager of the branch and the work is being done now, try that, the number is on the website.
Just been speaking to my insurance and have decided to claim, they are already on the way to pick it up. Renault said the airbags will be about £700 and my exess is half that so I might as well get it all done properly. It's going to Renault Enfield now for a quote, anybody ever used them...
Thanks for the replies. I will probably take in to Renault to get the ball rolling with estimates for the airbag, i think the alloy and 2 tyres will set me back about 250-300, just hope everything else is ok apart from the airbags!
Any idea on the cost for getting the seat sorted where the...
