I am fitting a group "N" ecu on a 172 today which has already got an ind kit fitted I will be checking the fueling levels before and after to see what chang es there are to the fueling level with the new ECU.
I can supply and fit the group "N" ECU to cliosport members at £225.00 plus vat.
The red thing is a throttle potentiometer which relates throttle position and rate of change to the ECU. Your fan should still work even if the temp sensor is not reading , you can check the fan works by letting the car idle for a while when the radiator gets hot the fan will cut in (if its...
We can supply the group "N" (r-sport) Ecu along with one of our own induction kits. If you e-mail me from our web site http://www.hillpower.co.ukwww.hillpower.co.uk I can send back some kit pictures for you.
You can remove the sump while the engine is still in the car if you only want to change the big end bearings, to change the mains you would be best to take the engine out, you will have to raise the engine on the drivers side a fair amount (best to release the exhaust down pipe and dog bone...
the mobile number you gave me aint for your phone hal can you call me at the w/shop wednesday need to speak to you ref the g/box you brought with your car.
More than likley as mat says it is the resister pack on the heater fan itself I find that in most case it also melts the wiring plug that connects to it so not only do you need to replace the motor but a short bit of the wiring as well (got both in stock s/hand)
I have tried before to source standard springs for the Williams. I think you will find that Renault are going to be the only place to get replacement std units from. Rear discs are a good buy from Renault as well they are the only type we have brought in that are fitted with wheel bearings which...
Use an Original rocker cover gasket from Renault and just nip up the fixing bolts after a fortnight and good bye leak. Silicone sealant !!!!! Thought you were a pro Ben.
In that case then Magnecor do a set of H.T. laeds for your car. They are available in 7mm 8mm and the KV85 8.5mm. The 8mm have a retail price of £44.31 plus vat we do have a discounted price for Cliosport members If you do fit a set you will have to remove the intake Plenum as Roamer said so at...
I think you will find that on the 1.2 16v the plug leads are moulded in as part of the ignition coil unit and can not be changed without replacing the coil as well. Magnecor do not list a lead set for the 1.2 16v
All depends how long you can put up with the fast idle.
You could just try removing the dash facia and j.j.j.jigling the speedo cable connection to the speedo head, cant guarantee itll work but might.
How many miles has your car done? and has the clutch been changed at any point. We see a lot of 16vs with very heavy clutch pedals and snapped cables If they a highish mileage you can usually bet the clutch is on its way out, they do not seem to slip at all just get heavier and keep breaking...
This may sound stupid but you will more that likely find it to be the speedo cable. There is a speed input sensor at the top of the cable which supplies road speed info to the ecu, when you change gear and lift off the throttle speed input is sent to the ecu which then holds open the ISCV so...
We have found that pretty much all of the aftermarket exhaust systems bank after the car has been lowered. You will find that when a company makes a system for a new model they base it of a standard car (unlowered), so do not consider what could hit when the car is dropped. The best way foward...
If you use the Williams manifold you will also have to use the down pipe and cat or a Williams cat by pass pipe. The reason is that the Williams has a larger flange on the down pipe cat end, which will not bolt to your 16v cat.
Got down pipes and cats in stock s/hand.
We fitted one of the Renault group "N" ECUs for a customer on saturday. The impressions I get from the mod are very similar as well. I think one of the main differences for sure is the elastic band between the throttle pedal and butterfly has definately been tightened, now as soon as you press...
Another posibility that we have come across before is a worn cam tensioner bearing. The reality of it is that there are many thing under the bonett that could be ticking it may be best to take it to a good garage near you and ask there opinion. If you want to arrange and bring it to me one day I...
The Retail price on our chips is £150.00 plus vat supplied and fitted. To Clio sport club members the price is £125.00 plus vat fitted. http://www.hillpower.co.ukwww.hillpower.co.uk
Will e-mail pics for you to post.
We have had no problems with engine movement affecting the kit at all both on my 1.6 and the Williams.
As for the Water bottle how about taking it out of the ice box just before a run down the strip.
Blimey they are big pics, funny, they dont look that big on the viewer on my camera! To fit the kit we do have to put a hole through the bulk head this is then sleeved with a piece of split tube to act like a grommet. The washer bottle is replaced with a washer bag which can just be seen near...
