What are the Toyos like? Ive done 7k on my Contis and there isnt many more miles in them. Is there a harder compound tyre anyone can suggest as I dont really drive the car hard enough to need super sticky rubber? (Guess Im getting old :oops:)

You name it, it rattles in mine! Rattles Ive managed to track down are: - Passanger side air vent, Passanger Seat, Tinny vibrating noise from the centre of the dash when using the engine to brake i.e changing down coming to a junction etc, random rattles from the boot area, driver side door...

Divide 40 by 4.5 to convert litres into gallons (Approx) 40/4.5 = 8.8 Divide the milage by the gallons. 220/8.8 = 25MPG (This is an approximate guide)

My other halfs DCI gets a free check up every 2-4 weeks :o good old Reno build quality. At least they wash it and vac it out each time. (Saves me a job:D)

What panel filter are you using Mike? I was thinking about an IK but then some people have said this has slowed their cars down. Does the panel filter fair better?

Yep there should be a button to the right of your steering wheel (next to the control for dimming you dash lights) that says ESP. If you press the button you should get a amber symbol on your dash (The one that looks like a drunk driver) Not all 172s have it. Its standard on late 2002 & 2003...
