True, but by getting a matched pair, they have almost certainly come from the same batch, instead of getting two completely different ones

Two sticks that run in dual-channel mode such as : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-059-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=144 Corsair are a lot less likely to fail than OCZ as well, OCZ are good for highly overclockable memory, but Corsair rule for value memory, I always...

You won't get one on orange, they think N-series Nokia's are the work of the devil, they aren't bringing it out because apparently its unstable like all other N-series Won't stop me getting one though, i'll just go onto 02 :rasp:
  19. Andy A

    buildingPC.

Yeah you are getting 1Gb, they are not a matched pair however, get a dual channel kit instead of two single sticks, it won't really alter the price

PC won't boot with second HD

there shouldn't be any settings that are incorrect, my bios hasn't been altered at all, I don't change it because i'd forget my overclock settings as my new board doesn't have profiles to save to. There are only SATA drives installed, so no IDE drives to worry about It detects the drive...

PC won't boot with second HD

Plugging it in when it is on does work, but it crashes shortly after. Its really weird, the PC has been fine for two years, now decided to act up. Boot order is fine, could there possibly be something on the drive that would cause windows to recognise it as a problem??
  23. Andy A

PC won't boot with second HD

PC will boot fine with just my windows hard drive plugged in, but as soon as I plug my second SATA HD in, it gets to the windows loading screen, then goes black, and goes no further, any ideas?? Changed the cable, so thats not it, there are only documents and stuff on the second drive

    Does a de-cat make a differance???

Damn, that is a bit of an awkward shape. A sports Cat is £235 and I don't really think it is worth it. I'd love a de-cat but as you said there is nowhere to get them from!!
