Everything went dead on the clio. The doors wouldnt lock, took alot of effort for the motors to lock the doors.
So I thought battery is dead. Took it out and it measured 10V, charged overnight and it's now on 11V and not rising. So think my charger might be knackered.
I just stuck it in the...
I think it might be there, just not really been looking for it before.
The connector to the carbon canister pipe right next to it is loose as a wizards sleeve. Will check this as well when the car is running again.
As my car is turbo'd...
I still have a couple of issues maybe linked maybe not. The brakes never really bite that hard and I dont think the abs has ever kicked in.
Also have had intermittent problems with high idling around 3000+ and it keeps climbing. This is cured by sticking in 4th gear...
It's 152+Vat for the dash, about 30ish for the screenholder. My screen was about 70 (6.7") and the sat nav buttons are a bloody fortune. I used them to control the screen.
Also you may want to consider mounting the clock display somewhere else. I made up some extension leads to extend the...
Just a little background : We design brushless dc motors. The current one I am working on works at 20,000rpm 7Nm, roughly 15kw power output.
It's a 2 phase motor with a 16 IGBTs driven by 4 driver circuits to control the direction of current in each phase. Using the infrared camera we were...
This is a real anoyance as I have been trying to clean the engine bay and every time I open the bonnet after a journey I see there has been a coolant leak from the cap and sprayed a little over the rest of the engine bay.
I was wondering what would cause this?
Would it simply be a knackered...
There are two nuts holding the mount into the tray under the battery and one big nut holding the gearbox to the engine mount.
You will need to support the engine and gearbox while removing it. Pretty straight forward one person job.
So you guys use them for electrical panels then? We have never bothered using them before, but currently having problems with motors getting a bit hot so needed to explore the circuit boards.
It is only on loan, god knows how much they cost, but I want one for myself!
Will try and get pics...
The engine is still in one piece.:rasp: I think I will strip the rear seats out and lose my sub for now. Also got parts to fit a water spray kit so will need a tank in the boot..
There is no space in these engine bays! I have to try and find room for a datalogger and my boost controller, they...
Right, thought I would start a thread as I have decided to keep my car and start cleaning her up a bit.
Nothing special to start with, but want to track the progress.:)
I have started to strip out the engine bay and give it a proper clean and try and stop some of the pipes rubbing against...
Mine was exactly the same and changing the TB for a freshly cleaned one has solved the problem completely.
Also noticed while rewiring yesterday that the +ve for the battery joins the loom from the ecu that goes round the engine. So pulling this may have upset a connection to the ecu.
Strip...
Nice gesture my arse....
There are other renault sports which were issued with a unique colour....because no one wanted them.
The factory must be well equipped to deal with any colour, I hardly see getting a sale as a good gesture.
Re: 80% complete 172RWD! - updated
This thing is gonna be mint for drifting! I got into a bit of slide earlier, shame it was only understeer.
The turbo can catch you out if you get too much power mid corner in the wet.lol.
Ideally I wanit all in the engine bay to minimise the wires through the bulkhead.
I have the wiring diagrams now, so think I might be able to find a source. It's just very hard tracing the wires around.lol.
cheers edde.
Got another couple of things I wanna check before i start pulling wires apart. Is pin 30 of the injection computer the power?
I am powering a datalogger off a 12V relay, is there any good place to power this relay when ignition is on? I was going to use a wire from the cigarette...
