Brake servo pipe - do I need a one way valve?

Car  R35 GTR
As my car is turbo'd...

I still have a couple of issues maybe linked maybe not. The brakes never really bite that hard and I dont think the abs has ever kicked in.

Also have had intermittent problems with high idling around 3000+ and it keeps climbing. This is cured by sticking in 4th gear and slipping clutch, not sure why..

Also the plastic pipe fitting that goes to the carbon canister is very easy to remove.

Are all these connected?
And would fitting a one way valve into the brake vacuum line be necessary?

you mean you don't have one??? correct me if i'm wrong, but that'll mean boost is going down your servo line?

Well that's what I thought....guess it's a no brainer then. I will double check tomorrow, might have just overlooked it.lol.

well i've never played with a turbo 172/182, but if you disconnect the servo line with the engine running on a stock 172/182, it'll instantly sit there reving at 3000rpm

under boost nothing should be going down that servo pipe, when the throttle is closed its under vaccum, so i would say a 1way valve is needed, surprised it didn't have one when the conversion was done

I think it might be there, just not really been looking for it before.

The connector to the carbon canister pipe right next to it is loose as a wizards sleeve. Will check this as well when the car is running again.
