How long is months?
For the most part it'll be fine but if it has sat for a long, long time then obviously make sure all fluids are good and get some oil around the engine before firing - this could simply be spinning it over on the starter.

We have one as well!! :-)
Its not a new 200 cup car, rather an upgrade kit for the existing 197 Cup race cars.
Ours arrived on Saturday and is being painted up as we speak. First showing of the new 2010 spec BPM Racing Super Endurance Evo 2 Clio will be at the Britcar 500 race in October...
Yes because 428's will run REALLY well in a 197/83X................
You need 402's or 403's for an 830 engine i.e. a 197. 403's will be a struggle to get running on the standard engine control but not impossible. 402's are proven in Kev's 197. Speak to Paul at RS Tuning regarding what he...
830 block is different. You could drill the block to accept the JC box but why bother? It's less bother just to stick some forged pistons in with a fairly high CR and a set of R3 cams - mapped correctly that'll give around 230bhp, with 230bhp held from 7200RPM to 7800RPM.

Barometric and Lambda for a start - both requirements for a road car engine package IMHO. Specific MOT maps etc. isn't what a road car customer wants to have to deal with.

No alternative reality here. Even using a boggo LSU will give you accurate enough AFR readings to run a closed loop fueling strategy at steady state/idle. Hence why the OEM's use them!
If you can apply pro-motorsport ethos with regards to accuarcy and performance to a road car application...
Danny - 172/182 does not run batch fire fueling as standard. It runs semi/fully sequential depending on a few variables. See the workshop manual for details.
A 50 quid Bosch LSU is never going to be any good for accurate results. As per a narrowband sensor these are used mainly for finer...
Or if its just noise you want I still have a one brand new ITG filter left, 76MM outlet so no need to step up/down from the throttle body size in the silicone elbow/joiner.
£50 posted.

The very fact you think that RSport test on a rolling road speaks volumes. RSport don't even have a rolling road. They're a parts supplier for CC and FR2.0 components/parts/spares. Regardless of that an OEM/Serious engine developer would never use a rolling road for engine development at this...
Everything in the R-Sport catalogue is available to anyone with the funds to pay for it.... RST aren't going to sit there and refuse to sell parts to people.... parts that they have a good margin on and that support future RST development programs. If you want you can order all the bits to turn...
Which is exactly what they mandate for GrpN!!!! The Cat GrpN variant is ground to a standard profile with as much movement as possible in lift and duration that the FIA spec tolerances allow. Those tolerances are tiny BTW. The Cat GrpN profile is essentialy a completely standard cam.
Whoever...
Testing on going on my car as we speak. A few have seen it now, have info on it etc but no more until its ready for release. Blame Lemons and the LMP boys for the delay!

3 stage process. All to 40 ftlbs IIRC.
Install and tighted to 40. Slacken fully, tighten to 40, slacken full then final tighten to 40.
Idealy you should be using a rod bolt stretch gauge though.

Only Inlet cam VVT on the 197 but its fully variable. That and the fact its got COP as standard so you may as well retain that.
Throttle response is an arguable point as having full control of the opening rate and being able to control the resulting transient from the throttle opening with...
ECU's are the same so assuming you have an electronics engineer/calibrator who is capable then you can run the Megane lump on the 'standard' engine control.
The engine physicaly fits and the box pretty much clears. Mounts are the same. Turbo clears the rear bulkhead with a couple of mm spare...
The new GCU is pretty good but I don't think its out for consumer purchase yet? The gear displays, load cells, cut off switches etc. are good but equaly good products are available elsewhere for less.
I'm doing an OEM project using Sadev boxes at the moment and after analysis are using someone...
I'm not having a pop at your car but geartronics is not a good shift system. When you say 'flat shift' above do you mean the GCU?
In any modern well engineered GCU the cut will be managed on a torque reduction level. For the most part Geartronics does not perform any torque reduction is merely...
To clarify as there seems to be some confusion:
Flat shift is slang for SWL (shift without lift) which is as it sounds, it allows the driver to instigate an up change without lifting the throttle or disengaging drive to the gearbox via the clutch.
With a dog engagement gearbox all that is...
The 'Group N' Cat Cams are standard cam profiles but ground to the limits of tolerance under the FIA Group N regulations i.e. there is an allowed (very small) tolerance for lift/duration over standard.
For all intense and purposes they are standard cams.

X85's weight nigh on 1100KG's with driver and will crack 0-100mph in 10.5 seconds.
Its massively down to the shift time as well - the mechanicaly actuated Sadev ST75 on the X85 will complete an upshift in around 85ms from the point at which the drivers movement on the shifter actuates the...
If you want to boost the octane of pump fuel just chuck a can of celulose thinners in the tank, its mostly Toluene with a dash of Xylene - both of which work very well in boosting the effective octane rating of fuel.
Most cans of thinners also list percentages of the contents which allows you...
Fifth gear tested octane boosters did they not?
This is a decoking treatment - which is not a lot moe than pure water with a bit of detergent in an aerosol can.
