Those pictures look fantastic. I'm contemplating cleaning my wheels over the next few days as I haven't done them for years and they really need it. I've been neglecting my car recently but going to give it a good clean and maybe get the steering wheel retrimmed.
The drivers side seat belt on my 182 has recently become incredibly slow to retract. I have no idea if its knackered or not, I did a search and someone said that it might be full of dirt or fluff.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? I thought I might have to replace something, but...
Not that cheap but worth looking into getting it retrimmed. I'm going down that avenue at the moment and its going to cost around £150. Cheaper than a replacement wheel new or second hand in a lot of places.
Renault are cheeky b******s! I took my 182 into two different dealers when it was still under warranty and they wouldn't do Jack. Now looking at getting mine retrimmed for £200 less than Renault wanted for a brand new 'leatherette' steering wheel.
Sucks that has happened.
What does the damage look like?
I seriously doubt that ABS would have helped at all though.
Hope you get everything sorted okay. Had a similar incident 4 years ago now and me and the bloke who hit me claimed off the woman who caused our accident. She didn't...
What is the purpose of rolling roading a standard car after 1,700 miles? Surely it would be more fun to spend the time and petrol on actually driving the thing?
Auto Express is a pile of dogshit for people with only a modicum of interest in cars.
The fact the Skoda is in there really highlights how crappy that list is. Its a great car but I wouldn't say it was a hot hatch by any means. This is because of the fact that all of the running gear is...
I thought the DPA was to do with personal information and private data.
There is none of that in a CCTV video. They stole your headlight as well! Why would you give a s**t about the DPA of those arseholes.
Someone stole my door mirror glass once. Such a piss take.
So if it isn't called a heater resistor pack what is the name for this thing?
Also, is there likely to be any other problem which causes this fault? The climate control unit still works, just that there is no air being blown by the fan.
I'm going to order one from Renault I think and...
I think I've got the same problem.
Did you climate control light up and everything? Look as though it was working but was not blowing any air out of the fans?
Not had a problem with mine and the only difference is coilovers.
Its just knowing how to drive the damned thing correctly.
I suppose I haven't encountered anything seriously challenging though so wouldn't know. Just icy roads and a bit of snow. Nowhere near as bad as other places!
Thanks to reading all of the comments on the first page of this thread I have managed to save myself 1 minute and 2 seconds of my life and haven't watched the video and don't intend to.
Thanks chappies! :D
I meant couldn't you get them toned down a bit on epicness so that they more suited the roads.
I don't know what epic is measured in, but you could take it in to the garage and just say to remove a bit of epic, but leave plenty. That would work, wouldn't it? :D
50k isn't that bad if its been looked after.
I'd be very tempted to go for an LY but I do like colourful cars like that (hence the reason I bought an Inferno 182 over a Trophy)
I did love the Trophy when I took one for a test drive, and would probably say to get one of those as you'll have...
Wasn't it called something slightly different in different countries?
Suppose there would just be too many of the damn things all over the car. You've got the Renault Sport, Clio, and the 2.0 16V and the diamonds, would be a bit of overkill.
I've just caught the replies to this thread, and I'm just trying to figure out what the hell I was doing up at that hour!
Oh I remember, I was on my way a mates to head down to the Classic Car Show, he lives in Belper.
You at Matlock on Sunday Paul? I'm more than likely going to be going.
I'm pretty certain that price didn't include the airbag!
He said that I could pay for a new one and then they would submit a warranty claim to Renault and see what happened.
Like f**k am I going to do that.
