MartinS - I mean that this thread is not somewhere to start yet more racing tales, it the exact opposite to the threads intention. imo
the worrying factor is the way in which clio owners sl*g each other off for having a different model (cup owners in the main) suddenly there are some new cup...
I think ur missing the point, cup owners (not all of them granted) forever out to try and prove themselves.
And then they knock the 182s wtf?
with lines like............. Yeh 2nd 182 "done" today - in brain 182s considered as league below me now.. no matter what is said
Nice.
Idiots
yup, but u get use to it
those in gear mph figures sound spot on
100 in forth
then 5th is good for 40 mph, or until u start bouncing of the limiter (which it will)
mine quite often bounced of the limiter in 5th going up hill lol
most of the reserve tank fuel pumps stop working
but when the light comes on, u can hear the reserve fuel pump pushing the fuel into the main tank (if its working that is) last about 10 secs
blue smoke on hard gear changes is piston ring/bore wear
blue smoke on start up usually indicates stem seal wear
get ur car warm
let tickover for 5 mins, then rev hard in neutral smoke indicates valve seal wear as well
ah thanks lunner, fuel pump will be diff as well
but dont get confused with main tank capacities and the extra reserve tank a 16v/ willy has
yea go look at Riplashs then
speak to infinicar, mat brown or local reno breakers to get a replacement
easy enough, just got to unplumb urs and replumb new un
ur a little far from me, but there might be someone local wiling to do a little work?????
dont get white smoke confused with grey or blue smoke
white is water vapour in the exhaust system (do u do short trips, not allowing exhaust to warm thro fully?)
valvers drink oil like its going out of fashion, nature of the engine, tho as they wear this will get worse and worse. seeing blue...
