Use Plastic Primer!!! Use a Filler with a 'softener'!!! Wet or Dry doesn't make a difference... Grit 700 pre-primer / Grit 1.000 after the Filler. Use Acryl (waterbased) paint... seek info @ a carpaint reseller to save you double work.

Re-weld it shut and get a extra backbox hanger? The product is sub-standard but that's what you paid for. :eek:

You should be able to do this with the axle in place. Get her up on all fours... Grind the cat bolts clean off, saving you red knuckles. I just undo the centerhanger, for ease of movement. The backbox will slide out of the rearhanger. Use axle stands please!

There is a difference between Flat and Matte though! With Matte you'd get this 'open' paint surface... with Flat the paint surface is 'closed', like Gloss. See it as a Gloss with a Flattener added! Less build up of dirt. (when new use bumper snot / bumper care for a barrier.) With a Flat Clear...

It's topcoated with a flat clear laquer... they'd better wrapped it like the Focus. Wheels are to big 18" Interlagos, better suited with the 17" Speedlines.

For one thing i will not use it on screens which have wipers on them (so Front and Rear), you get this 'sink' where the wipers wipe that RainX off...
