Yes its free, your slimline should have come with a network access disc, you need to put that into your ps2.

I think you just plug your broadband ethernet cable into the back of your ps2.

I've got a diamondback razer, no i'm not a geek :p it came with the PC, I was none the wiser. It's a bloody good mouse though, I find it much better than my old microsoft mouse when i'm playing counter strike.

Phew thats a relief, thanks violent. I've tried my other set of speakers and tried several sets of earphones so i'm guessing it's internal. I'm gonna try and reinstall the sound drivers, if that doesn't work i'll have a look at the soundcard itself.
