Ever tried getting that f*ing cable out of a clio? Its wound around and around a metal bar under the dash, and wrapped in sticky stuff so it doesnt just pull out... PITA!

Yep, pull the strip of trim out from under the wheel arch, and poke it thru the bonnet release cable grommet.

You cant use the changer with any others... you have to buy a new one. Well, if you had a Sony HU you could do it.

Ok, in case anyone else was wondering, both options are possible - the head unit from a mk2 will go into a mk1, and the cd changer from a mk2 will work with the head unit from a mk1. This is from the Renault spare parts people. Scott.

What speakers do you have at the front? How much are you thinking of spending? Have you heard what it will sound like with front/rear rather than front or front/sub? Good fronts (splits) plus a good sub should sound fine - you really dont need rear speakers unless youre planning on sitting in...
