Its pretty accurate actually.I know the guy and he has compared many actual times(tested it on GTiROC&Scoobynet) to his theoretical ones and they are very very close.

Because 80mph in a 1.2l will probably be revving higher than a 80mph in a 2l.Less revs usually equals less petrol used.

Drive your cars in isolation and they seem quick.Pit them against the same model and you soon start getting the urge to empty your bank account/get a loan/get a faster car;).Im speaking from experience and a seriously depleted bank account:(.

Depends a lot on the tyre too,Ive got through loads and its surprising hom much heavier those with a thicker sidewall are.

They probably have set weight limits with a price to match,say up to 10kg,up to 25kg,up to 50kg,up to 100kg etc.
