when they build the new laptop old hard drive or whatever they usually ghost the hard drive image to the hard drive, how the hell would the photos etc get into the d drive? this is the part of the hard disk used for recovery of the OS etc very strange imo.

How long is a piece of string with that engine there are thousands of known faults with it. What lights if any are coming on? Have you checked the ECU wiring at the back of the engine going to the ECU protection cover? that usually causes a fault with these.
