The ECU and UCH are linked together the imobiliser program runs in the ECU but the UCH has checksums for it.
the way you explained it above is exactly right- but you need to run the decoder ring.

There is only one solution to your problem and that is nitrous, plus you can take it with you when your car is sold/written off/explodes. just dont run 50bhp jets like i did on my 1.2 and shoot a piston

I had a set the rear dampers they failed after 2k miles utter crap . I kept changing them up until i changed to FK's.
They have a design fault and they have not yet been re-designed.

k-tec are expensive as they are factoring in the cost of development of their kit.
They use a log manifold and downpipe i would get a proper manifold made up from the likes of BTB or similar.
check the headlight earths, they are behind the headlight itself - put the good bulb in the unit thats flickering to rule out a starter/ computer problem
