Either going to get a dell streak or htc desire and have been wondering weather to get phone insurance.
I've never bothered before but especially if i get the streak i've heard it's easily breakable so might be best off.
Wondering if anyone who's ever needed to claim has any views on it...
i've been finding it a nightmare to get hold of a desire, was told yesterday they just can't get hold of them in the phone shop, think that was phones4you
Might try either the streak or galaxy S now if i still can't get one
I stuck black bandage over mine, just replaced it after 3 months, cost about £1 a time and is a cheep alternative!
Have to admit it's sort of melted into the pattern of the bandage weave, but seeing as i just covered it again it dosen't make any difference
had a thread somewhere... ah here...
Yea defo either black or just left to standard. I was considering trying to see if i could colour match them body work wise, but think that could be a little pants and over the top.
Actually might try to find some pictures of what it'd look like first, still not completely sure if it's be worth...
can you paint the outside of the drum brakes too, and would it be the same method.?
If i'm ever gonna get my alloys perfect then it'd be nice to not have them looking so shappy and corroded/rusty/what ever it is on them! I'm thinking just black inside the silver alloys might be quite smart
what the wear like in terms of mileage, done 16k this year, went through the front budget tyres in about 5k and the rears have lasted the whole 16k both budget, not sure how much were on them before I got them though!
as long as i can get a year out of them then it'd ok, i guess. Not sure what...
Good idea, the rears are better than the fronts, although they aren't great anyway! Got a few hundred off the price when i bought it because of the state of the alloys and the rear bumper, just never got around to getting them re-done... half fancy trying a diy job before actually getting them...
ah just seen delivery monday to friday, that'd mean i'd need to wait until atleast next saturday... I'll check whats left on mine, but will be doing a few hundred miles before then, so might be a bit late this time! the wear marker is flush with teh tyre, and not sure how far the markers worn...
how easy is it then to get fitted, and what extra cost am i likely to incur for fitting and balancing and stuff?
Want to go to a decent place really had 6 months of the worst fitted tyres ever last year, ended up having to go and get the sides all re gummed as was refilling them 2 twice a week!
Need two new rear tyres asap really, last time i needed two new fronts I asked at the garage what mid-range they recommended and ended-up getting Marshal MATRAC FXMU11's, which seem good, but only ever had budget tyres before so haven't got anything to compare them with!
Should i try and get...
Mine seems to have stopped since getting the ball joints replaced too
If they are the same ones are on the non-sports then there are the non branded ones for £11.11 ...
ah kwl, well might go for the desire if they are back in stock before i need to renew, feel like it'll be disappointed when the desire HD come out as the desire will already be old after only a couple months, unless i then sell the desire i guess
i did have this problem it was awful, haven't noticed it since getting the ball joints replaced, but will turn the radio off in the morning and listen out to see if it's actually stopped!
yea, i just keep trying to decide what wrong with the galaxy and not finding anything that wrong, apart from not being sure what the software overlay is like
Looks good, something for nothing, but know they'd kick-up a fuss about my rear tyres, maybe once i replace them i'll go and get it done! Need a Hi-Vis too, was out cycling last weekend and realised i was wearing all black clothing at dusk :-s
Depends on what backup method you take, I've got a cheapish external Hard drive i plug in and do it all manually, but got my parents a more expensive one that once set-up does it all automagically this one: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/wd-my-book-elite-external-hard-drive-1tb-03769038-pdt.html...
that yahoo answers thing sounds a bit dodgy, like the calls i get from my mum who says the computer says it's got xyz virus and i need to download mnop program to get rid of it.... usually after some searching it appears mnop is actually a virus and xyz is a harmless pop-up
although then again...
goto tools, then click internet options, half way down there is a header saying Browsing history, click the delete button under it, make sure there is only a tick next to Temporary Internet files (else things like auto login for here will go too) then select delete, close the browser and reopen...
Is the £68 for one, or both? if they are the same as non-sports I got both for about that from euro car parts, paid £160ish for fitting, but that was for arms, ball joints and the front shocks, on both sides and tracking afterwards!
Those who said earlier in the thread they were picking up a Galaxy S soon, how is it?
I'm about 4 hours away from just clicking to buy that one, instead of getting the desire for £50 less, am I right, know loads of people with a desire saying i should get that instead, but no-one with a galaxy...
no it's now the standard shell, so just the bog standard stuff, only premium you pay is how ever much more it is than the supermarkets and stuff, which i don't use anymore anyways
ah kwl, good to remember, maybe I'll give it to my dad to try... our 4x4 has the worst alloys i've ever seen, and my dad's tried every product under the sun to clean them, so it couldn't make it any worse, and it'll look like i'm trying to help!
the pack had :
a really nice bag, 9 storage...
The HD-wax and the 10 piece bagged gift pack, didn't really want another tub of wax and the kit seems handy, it's a nice storage bag, as duplicates for the stuff i like and could try out other bits of the kit that i haven't used before too, tried the glass polish and that seemed good, haven't...
Got bored on Saturday and either was going to the american candy shop to buy tons of sweets and Mountain Dew, or Halfords to get cleaning stuff, so i took the healthier option and got tons of Auto-glym stuff spent near on 6 hours cleaning and it's look nice, took some photos so will try and post...
