Bloody poverty spec mines is lol. Miss the aircon, especially during the two or three days a year we need it.
Yeah, its the dci 86 I have. No real problems with the box really. Seems smooth enough getting into gears. A lot less notchy than my 172.
When I had an accident years ago, my car had a full stainless exhaust and spax suspension kit in bright yellow. I hadn't declared this to my insurance. I sweated about it for when the insurance assesor went to see it, but he said nothing and the car was repaired by my insurance company.
I...
It was a dealer option, and the first owner must have been tight as it has none.
The car is under warranty from the garage I bought it, so I'll keep an eye on this noise, especially if it may be gearbox related.
On idle, I can hear a slight rattle (more evident when listening in the front o/s wheel arch than when looking under the bonnet)
Sounds to me like a dry bearing on something spinning than say an exhaust heat shield rattle.
Car is a 2006 on 56,000 miles.
Any ideas?
This appears to be what they do
they replace and recharge lubricant and refrigerant levels in line with your manufacturers recommendation. If they cannot improve the coolest vent temperature from your car by more than 10% when measured in degrees Celsius - then you pay nothing at all.
just searched the net and this is the process (at Nationwide Autocentres anyway) but they want £69
•Temperature checks
•Full visual inspection
•Recovery of refrigerant
•Evacuation of air and moisture from the system
•Leak test
•Recharging to recommended levels, adding fresh system...
Yeah just the air-con, I handed it in to the dealer who 'serviced' it. Think it was about £30, but that was a few years ago.
I'm not exactly sure what they done, but it cured the issue and was ice cold again.
So I could call my insurance to say I think my car has been scraped and get advice. Not make a claim, and then notice that it was only a shadow, and then my insurance would go up next year?
I would call them again and complain like hell about that mate.
