Thanks for the advice! My only mod is the yozza so hopefully they pay no attention to the rear of the car!
Should I go to a garage first to get a quote before claiming, in the hope that the quote given is less than my excess, or is it possible for me to use the quote given by the garage...
My excess is £500. There was another car involved so il be going through the insurance as im certain it will be cheaper that way...one person in the other car was complaining of neck injuries which could be expensive!
As far as i can see there is no damage to the metal work Phil. Out of...
Feel like s**t as you do!:dead:
I'll be claiming on the insurance so can anybody give me a rough idea how much it's gonna cost them to replace the front bumper, N/S front headlamp unit and radiator?
Many thanks in advance.
Not been in any tunnels with mine yet. I think the catback system is loud enough so no decat for me lol. Ye, my yozza was vibrating through the floor a bit after id driven it hard for about half an hour on a road trip I did around Scotland. A wee 5 minute rest did the trick! :S
Ye, agree about the b*****d floor hinged pedals in Beemers coupled with uber sensitive brake pedals...don't think it could get anymore difficult! Anytime i try it in my dads 3 series it's a complete f**k up!
That was my problem initially...accelerator too deep to reach when braking. BUT...try angling your foot a little toward the outside edge with approximately one-quarter of your right foot still on the brake pedal and then twist your ankle toward the offside front wheel when you want to blip.
I...
Indeed. Still blip the throttle too much on occasions and end up with that horrendous jump forward you get when re-engaging the clutch but practice will make perfect!
Yussssssssss!:D
After a 1000mile road trip around Scotland i can finally heal-toe using the edge of my foot. It makes driving quickly so much smoother and rewarding...AYE!
I used little plastic rectangles from a peace of plastic sheet folded into a loop to act as bushes for the rear exhaust mount holes.
You'l get used to the boomyness between 2'500 and 3'000 and soon you'l be after more!!!
Not a single bit of bother with mine.
I always feel that if you attract attention towards yourself by driving like a tube then you'l get done for it as the police go about your car looking for something to do you for and come across your plate.
flol, cheers mate!
Love that colour! Ye, the left one was further in than the right at that point but after moving things about they're now even. However, they are still both about 1/2 an inch out from the bumper where as I would have preferred them out a bit further...still, you can only do...
Pics of fitting and the final result...
The exhaust arrives
After about 10 minutes of unwrapping
Old vs New :D
Fitting begins (note the yozza fits around the rear axle)
My very own personal mechanic (otherwise known as dad) lining up the backbox after installing the new rear...
Go with NW Performance. I got mine from Renault for £47 but you can get ones from NW Performance for a tenner each.
