CD Changer and Aux cable - Is it possible to run both?

I'd happily try and fudge a cable together if people think it would work? If not I'll have to stick with the aux cable as it gets used the most.

CD Changer and Aux cable - Is it possible to run both?

Yes they have a CD slot in the front. Some came with the optional extra of a CD changer fitted under the passenger seat. I want to run a CD changer and aux connection at the same time if possible.

cannot find fault with misfireing 2002 1.4 clio

It could well be an electrical issue then if no faults are being found?

CD Changer and Aux cable - Is it possible to run both?

Yes OEM unit, does the aux cable not take the space of the CD changer though?

    Poor mans Xenons (HID's)

Nightbreakers seem to be the bulb to get at the mo! I had a quick look on eBay last night and you can pick a pair up for about £13.50, bargain imo.

Ut oh, back in a clio..

Looks nice, always liked a white Clio!

cannot find fault with misfireing 2002 1.4 clio

Have you had it plugged into a diagnostics machine? This should narrow down the missfire somewhat. It could be throttle body, MAP sensor, air leak etc....

CD Changer and Aux cable - Is it possible to run both?

I know people say you either run one or the other but there must be a split cable available to run both? Even though I use an iPod I still like the ease of using a CD changer so I'd like the best of both worlds :) Has anyone had a go at making a cable if they're not available?

Why do people lower rear more than front???

My old 106 giving it the rake :) I used to hate seeing 106's slammed at the rear. I think half the time it was ppl who didn't know how to lower torsion bars properly!

    No cambelt receipt!

Cambelt change on a 1.2 is very cheap compared to a 1*2. I got our 1.2 03 Clio's belt done at 70k and it was around £120 from memory.

    Poor mans Xenons (HID's)

I'm not an aftermarket HID hater however I upgraded the bulbs in the daily hack Clio and got some great results. I think they were Halfrauds own brand ones and they doubled the brightness compared to the oem bulbs. It's defo worth saving up for the xenon headlights though rather than the HID kit.

    Apex or Eibach?

I had spax springs with billies on my old 106, it handled really well however the ride was harsh! Eibach sportlines do get a lot of praise on here but if you want it low then go for the Apex springs. You won't get the best of both without spending a fair amount on coilovers.

    No cambelt receipt!

You can't always trust a receipt as I found out! Aux belt failed recently and upon closer inspection at BTM the timing was out and the cambelt had been fitted incorrectly, this had caused excessive wear on the belt. The receipt I got with the car showed the belts had been changed at a certain...

    182 cat back exhaust.

No problem will do :) I had the Scorpion decat fitted for a month or two and it was a bit boomy on long journeys so I removed it for the MOT and it never went back on. I still like the sound of the exhaust now, it's louder than standard but not too intrusive in the cabin.

    182 cat back exhaust.

My RS192 exhaust is up for sale soon :) I'm changing to a Yozza in the new year as I'm craving some rasp!! I love the look of the RS192 if only it sounded like a Yozza....

    Connecting wires together

Solder then heat shrink wrap them as mentioned above, I'd say that's the best way. I've not heard of solder being a bad choice before? I've used the spade type connectors for audio installs in the past. They're OK but not the best, you can buy the Renault type connectors found on your standard...

    Cracked ABS ring, big job?

The ABS ring comes off the driveshaft, I wouldn't bother buying new shafts if you don't need them. You can pick the rings up from Renault or eBay for a 172. I've also got a cracked ABS ring but stupidly Renault don't sell the 182 ABS ring on it's own so I need to get a whole new driveshaft :(

Get him to call you 'once in the UK' using the PH telesafe thingy so he doesn't get your number. You can then see if he's legit?

    Headlight Washer sparyers?

The pump will still make a noise even if it's broke. For the sake of £5 get the pump changed and see if it makes any difference?

    Winter Wheels??

Buy some cheap alloys for winter instead of steels? I like steelies on cars but they've got to be lowered to pull it off.

iPhone 4S - Read post #1 before asking questions

Only had mine 3 days and it's sooo much quicker than the 3Gs! Finally having a flash on the camera is good too. I use a dock at home so my phone is always 100% charged if I leave the house. I've not noticed a massive difference in battery life between the 4s and 3Gs either. All in all a...

Good bodyshop near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

http://kenilworthautobodies.co.uk/ - They've done a fair amount of work for a friend of mine who's runs the motorbike shop across the way from them. Another friend also got quoted around £250 for a front bumper and bonnet spray on his Civic Type R.

Just read the e-mail - http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/home/latestnews/ObjectId/6028/Default.aspx?WT.mc_id=EN-R-PRO-1111-STO1-1 They look good but will it be worth the extra premium? I wonder if anyone on the forum will take the plunge and buy one!

    Alternative to RS192 Exhaust

I'd love a Yozza however I don't have the money for one at the mo which is a shame. I might put the standard system back on and sell the RS192 and save up for one...

    Alternative to RS192 Exhaust

The CAT is on at the mo but it's too quiet, I do like a nice exhaust note but decats seem to be a bit much. I just want an aftermarket cat back exhaust which sounds good without having to decat.

    Alternative to RS192 Exhaust

The RS192 is a bit louder than standard but with the decat I just don't like it, it drones on long journeys which I can't stand! I'd like it to be loud but not to intrusive if your on a motorway journey. What are the k-tec ultra systems like in terms of noise?
