No air leak found....
Fred, I tried a spare map sensor I had and it was the same however I'll try another over the weekend. If not it's coming your way I'm afraid!!
I need to replace my washer pump and euro car parts want £18 for one! I've seen a non branded version on eBay for £6, is it worth a punt or will it be poor quality?
Ive also got one and it's been a nigtmare this past month! It's currently in the garage with a broken engine....
Mine is very smooth on steering and engine is a bit tappy but not too bad. When it works it's actually a great car but when it breaks it does it well!
Mines sealed ok with high temp silicone think it's loctite gasket stuff. Good exhaust once fitted but a poor fit as everyone knows. I'm moving to a yozza in a few months to see what all the fuss is about!
Quick update: they changed the throttle sensor on the pedal and in the engine bay and finally got it running. However they said they have to trick the ecu into making the car run correctly or it still goes back to the original problem? They started it up on the phone and it was spot on however a...
Is it best to call my local dealer or Renault UK?
With regards to the engine as soon as you turn it on it revs to 2k, accelerator doesn't work, eml light comes on, manifold glows red hot. The garage have checked the mani and exhaust which is fine. I also cleaned out the TB however diagnostics...
My emissions light only came on after a couple of 100 miles. It's now on all the time and has no efffect on performance. It's plugged into the decat btw.....
RAC won't claim responsibility as they did everything 'properly' which seems fair enough. It's not got FRSH which is a shame as I'm not a 'loyal' customer....
The RAC towed my g/f's 03 Clio to the garage last week and on the way the tow ring failed and ripped through the front bumper.
The local garage checked it over and it looks like the weld has failed and it's not rusted. We're now left with a nice big hole in the front bumper!
If I raise...
Ive given up and the local garage can battle it out with it! However on the way the tow eye ripped thru the front bumper, what a great start to the day!!
Just had the TB off and it was a bit dirty but not bad at all. I've cleaned it up but still got the same problem. Its goin to the garage tomorrow as the cat has rusted on and I can't be arsed to tackle that!
With regards to the manifold glowing red I only saw it last night when the RAC were...
Is removing the throttle body easy and fiddly or just difficult? and will it be obvious its blocked or knackered?
Also will cleaning this make any difference?
The other halfs 03 Clio 1.2 16V broke down today and now won't run at all. The revs stick at around 2k and the manifold starts to glow red, brakes go hard and you get the emissions warning light and the other coil one.
I suspect it's a blocked CAT however could it be anything else?
Just fitted my RS192 exhaust today however lining it up is such a pain in the arse!! What's the best way to get them sitting perfectly in the cut outs? I've fitted all new mounts so they shouldn't be a problem.
I parked inbetween your cars in the pub car park :). I'd just fitted my exhaust so I'd been out for a drive with my mate with the white evo 5 if you saw that.
Yeh it's pricey! I'm not looking for show car standards so hopefully it'll be a bit cheaper. I also think a super clean car will attract more interest?
In the next month or so I'm planning on selling my 1.2 Clio run about for something bigger. I'm wanting to get it detailed and properly cleaned inside and out before the sale and for the photos. I don't really have the time/knowledge to get it done so can anyone recommend a company or individual...
Good for the money if your on a budget but I'd go for the Michelins if price wasn't an issue. Had mine fitted for about 2k and they're good, tyre walls are a bit soft as mentioned above but great all round. Mine are pretty much ruined already due to the tracking being so far out so I'm glad they...
