Just doing a routine service on the other halfs 1.2 Clio and one of the spark plug wires snapped on removal! It's broken off and left the rubber part around the plug and some plastic.
What's my options to remove it? I can still refit the wire but it runs like a bag of nails! It looks like the...
I'd say silvervision bulbs, 3/4 front plate, Skoda Fabia spltter (if you don't have a cup spoiler fitted), Carbon/Colour coded dash strips, diamonds, bullets. All fairly cheap mods and shouldn't have any effect on your 'warranty'.
Ok thanks, I was a bit unsure if the usb socket would work with the ipod so I'm glad you tested it :). The cable looks similar to one I had it my old Alpine headunit but it's not quite the same.
Can the Renault tunepoint Ipod cable be purchased on it's own? I've got the chance of buying the box only so I'd only be able to use a USB drive which wouldn't be great.
I got my renewal from flux direct a couple of weeks ago and it was £200 more than Admiral. The chap on the phone was very helpfull and managed to knock off £150 pretty much straight away however that was the maximum he could do. I ended up moving to Admiral for £600 a year.
Give them a call...
I've always stuck to premium brand oils and I've never had a problem. Only one to steer clear of is Carlube Tripe R from euro car parts, it gives the engine a nice ticking noise from what the majority of ppl say.
I think I'd go for Elf if I could get it cheap but it's a lot of money if your...
My car has recently developed a small squeak when accelerating. It only does it when the cars in gear and you're moving which makes me think it could be an engine mount? Ideally I want to get it sorted quickly as it's getting a bit annoying with the window open!
Yep it needs to be packed with grease to keep the moving parts lubricated. They used to split on my 106 all the time and the grease causes a right mess!
Can you even 'give it some' in a 1.2, mines seriously slow and any journey seems painfull! Saying that on the motorway at 70mph following my 182 they both returned 41mpg the majority of the way home.
You need specific locking tools when replacing the belts on the 1*2's. Thats why people on here only recommend getting it done at a Renault specialist.
I was going to do the dash strips, handbrake surround and a couple of other bits drop me a PM if you have enough, any pics of your parts fitted? Is there actually an official colour?
Does anyone know the official 1*2 alcantara colour? I'm only after a small amount to try and retrim some parts lying about. Also wheres the best place to buy it?
I also recommend the Halfords Advanced/Pro tools, mine have been great and they have a life time warranty! Worth every penny even if you have to splash out a bit more to start with...
I'm on the look out for some F1's for track wheels, I think they're perfect for the job. Have you tried looking for a set of Renault turbines, they seem pretty rare but usually go for under £200.
Ive just fitted some V12's and they seem great compared to the Michelins I had on previously. Ive not really given it much stick so can't comment on them that much but the sidewalls do seem a bit soft but this could be down to pressures.
For an all round road tyre I think they're great for the...
